OBERGAN, Michael

Passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, with his family at his side at the age of 87. Loving husband of Avril, for 55 years. Cherished father of Maurice (Shirley), Geoff (Wendy) and Peter (Colleen). Grandpa to seven grandchildren and great grandpa to five great granddaughters. Also survived by his sister Brenda. Predeceased by his brothers, Walter and Ted and his sisters Vera, Mary, Anna and Nina. Michael was a long time employee of Butler Metals and retired after 32 years of service. He was also a member of the Polish Legion Branch #472 in Kitchener and a member of the Polish Canadian Alliance Club, Cambridge. Michael enjoyed spending time at his cottage with family and friends and had a passion for dancing. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) on Thursday December 22, 2011, from 2-4pm and from 7-9pm with Parish Prayers at 8: 30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, N3H 3T7 on Friday, December 23, 2011, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery. Michael's family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the medical professionals, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
