SCHELHAS, Helen Marie (Nadrofsky)

1917 - 2008. "The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want" - Psalm 23. Surrounded by the love of her family, Helen passed away peacefully, on Saturday, November 15, 2008, in her 92nd year. Loving wife of the late Joseph Schelhas (1995). Loving and devoted mother of Laurraine and her late husband Douglas Ottmann (2000) of Cambridge, Laurretta and her husband Ladislaus Bauer of Wellesley. Lovingly remembered by six grand-children, Michele Freer (Tim), Michael (Ute) Ottmann, Paul Ottmann, Angela Straus and the late Joe, Stephan (Stephanie) Bauer, Theresa Bauer and 17 great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her brother, Victor Nadrofsky and his wife Carol of Huntsville; her sister-in-law, Rita Nadrofsky of Waterloo and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Adam and Mary (Hubacheck) Nadrofsky; her sisters, Mary (White), Rita and Theresa (in infancy); her brothers, Frank, Anthony, Leo and Rudolph (in infancy) and her sisters-in-law, Ella and Dorothy. Helen was born in Preston and was a lifelong resident in the area. Her life was devoted to her family, faith and friends. She was a devout Catholic and Honorary member of the CWL. Her strong faith pulled her through many difficult days. She will be sadly missed by the many whose lives she touched. Friends are invited to share their memories of Helen with her family during visitation at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Monday, November 17, 2008 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where parish prayers will be held at 8: 30 p.m. The mass of Christian burial, will be celebrated at St. Clements RC Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 11 a.m. Interment in Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.

OTTMANN, Laurraine Marilyn (nee Schelhas)

Peacefully, in her 75th year, in the early morning hours of Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family, our most amazing Mother made her transition to spirit. Mom will be loved and cherished always by her children Michele Freer, Paul Ottmann and Ron (Latimer) all of Cambridge and Michael Ottmann of Maryhill. Lovingly remembered by her pride and joy are four grandchildren, Elisha and Melissa Freer and Nicole and Taylor Ottmann. Mom will be fondly remembered by her Aunt and Uncle, Carol and Victor Nadrofsky of Huntsville and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the KW area and in Huntsville. Mom was welcomed into heaven by her husband and our cherished Dad, Douglas Ottmann (September 2000) and her parents Joseph Schelhas (July 1995) and Helen Schelhas (nee Nadrofsky) (November 2008). Cremation has taken place. A visitation for family and friends will occur at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street Cambridge, Ontario on Friday, March 11, 2011, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass in celebration of our Mother's life will be held at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, Ontario on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 11 a.m. A Committal Service will follow the Memorial Mass at Parklawn Cemetery, 750 Fountain Street North in Cambridge for both our parents.
