    HEWER, Frank

    Went Home to be with the Lord, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, April 18, 1998, at the age of 74 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Frank was married 50 years to his wife, Mary (nee Burton). Father to Patti Sullivan and her husband Gary of Mississauga and Janie Coleman of Cambridge; Papa to Brenda Shore and her husband Mark and Judi Coleman, all of Cambridge, Laura and James Sullivan and great-grandfather of Whitney and Marlee Shore. Predeceased by six brothers and four sisters. Frank was a Second World War veteran of the Royal Canadian Regiment and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 126. He proudly served 30 years as an officer with the Preston Police Force and Waterloo Regional Police, until his retirement in June 1983. Faithful member of Temple Baptist Church, in Cambridge. Friends may call at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday). A complete service to be held Tuesday at 2 p.m., at Temple Baptist Church, 400 Holiday Inn Dr., Cambridge, interment at Parklawn Cemetery.
