ISLEY, Frederick Michael

Of Eagle Street North, Cambridge, on Thursday, May 9, 1996, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 80th year.Beloved husband of 55 years of Marjorie Stroeder. Dear father of Gerald and his wife Helen, Francis and his wife Judy, Charlotte Campbell and her husband Ray, Helen Isley, Betty Gingrich and her husband Ron and Cathy Koehler and her husband Larry, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ted and his wife Rita of Maryhill. Predeceased by his parerts, Josephine and George Isley; two brothers, William in infancy and Joe and one sister, Marguerite Haid. Mr. Isley was born in Hesson, Ont. and came to Preston, in 1949. He was the owner operator of Isley Fuels from 1956, until he retired in 1976. He was an Honorary member of Preston Hespeler Knights of Columbus Mnsgr., Paul J. Meyer Council 4916 Knights of Columbus, a member of St. Clement's Parish and a fraternal affiliate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, this evening (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 13, 1996, at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.

KOEHLER, Cathy (nee Isley)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful wife and mother. Cathy passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 53. Cathy's journey began August 28th, 1957. She married her best friend and soul mate Larry Koehler 35 years ago. She felt so blessed to have four wonderful children. Brad, Mike (Julie), Ryan (Steph) and Meghan (Kyle) all of Cambridge. She will be missed by Grandchildren Hailey, Cameron and Katie. Cathy has five siblings Charlotte (Ray) Campbell, Helen Isley (Bob), Betty Gingich (Ron), Fran Isley (Judy) and Gerry Isley (Helen). She also leaves behind her wonderful in-laws Elizabeth Boutilier (Hugh), Richard Koehler (Pauline) and Julie Koehler. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and special family friend Rachel Perry. She is predeceased by her parents Fred and Marjorie (Stroeder) Isley, mother and father-in-law Rose and Harvey Koehler and brother-in-laws Wayne and Gerry Koehler. Family meant more than anything to Cathy. It was first and foremost in her life. She also had a passion for her work. Larry and Cathy started Larca Custom Machining Inc. They named the company using the letters of their names. May the joy and love they shared live on forever. A special thanks is given to all the wonderful and caring staff at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre. Also to the nurses from ParaMed for the love and care given to Cathy. Family and friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519 621 1650) on Tuesday, May 24th and Wednesday, May 25th at 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. for visiting. Prayers to take place Wednesday at 8: 30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 26th at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge at 10 a.m. Burial at Park Lawn Cemetery to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.
