ROTHWELL, Russell

Of Vine Street, Cambridge, on Friday, Nov. 5, 1993, after a valiant struggle, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Mary McMenamin; dear father of Gregory of Toronto. Patrick and his wife Connie of Welland, Sylvia (Mrs. Sorin Lupul of Naples, Fla. and Therese (Mrs. Larry Downes of Mississauga. Lovingly remembered by five grandchildren, Christopher, Julia, Emily, Catlin and Gillian; one brother, Edwin and his wife Grace of Stratford and one sister, Mrs. Joyce Bedwell of Richmond, B.C. Predeceased by his parents; one brother, Arnold of Glen Morris and one sister, Edna Kerr of Stratford. Mr. Rothwell was born in Saskatchewan and had been a longtime resident of Cambridge. He had been employed at Kralinator Filters for 37 years, retiring 15 years ago. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, the Preston-Hespeler Knights of Columbus, the Royal Canadian Legion, Preston Branch 126 and the Cambridge Senior Citizens. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served in the Air Force. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. James McSharry (Knights of Columbus Chaplain) at St. Clement's Church, Duke Street, Cambridge, Monday, Nov. 8, 1993, at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
