Passed away peacefully, on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at his residence with his family and friends by his side, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Patricia for 50 years. Dear father of Cynthia Peters (Clinton), Michael (Florence), Selvin and Christopher (Sandra). Loving grandfather of ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Survived by four sisters, five brothers and many nieces and nephews. Sydney's family will receive friends at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519)(653-3251) on Friday, January 14, 2011, between 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. John's Anglican Church (567 Queenston Road) on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery.
