SNYDER, Oliver A. -- At his home, Route 1, Cambridge (Hespeler), on Monday evening, August 15, 1977, in his 83rd year.Survived by his wife, the former Lillian N. Snyder; two sons, John W.Cambridge, and Robert O. of Kitchener, nine grandchildren, one brother Edward G, of Route 32, Cambridge; two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Ida) Snider of Cambridge, and Emma Snyder of Kitchener. Predeceased by one son, James C. of Lafayette, Ind. and two sisters, Mrs. Nelson (Martha) Bechtel of Cambridge (Hespeler) and Mrs. Chester (Edna) Buschert of Cambridge (Preston).The late Mr. Snyder was a member of Wanner Mennonite Church and a strongsupporter of the Christian Education Program of the Mennonite Church at large.He was active in many farm organizations and served in various executive capacities at both the county and provincial levels.The late Mr. Snyder is resting at his residence, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 on Wednesday, August 17, Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, at 3 p.m., at Wanner Mennonite Church, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Rev John H. Hess will officiate, assisted by Rev. Rufus Jutzi

SNYDER, John Wilfred 1925 - 2012

John Wilfred Snyder, died pearefully, at St Mary's General Hospital, on Tuesday afternoon, October 2, 2012, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lois Buckwalter (1990) and his second wife, Iva Taves (2011). John will be missed by his children, Jed (Michele Dickinson) of Cambridge, Patricia (Christopher Dustin) of Connecticut, Julia (Hans Behrendt) of Germany and granddaughter, Abigail Dustin and Iva's family, Mila, Mark, Jilienne, Caitie, Jacob and Jesse Reusser, Mary Taves and Ruth Fallding. Cremation will take place. The family will receive friends during a memorial visitation at Rockway Mennonite Church, 32 Weber St. W., Kitchener, on Friday, October 5, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate John's life and faith will be held at Rockway Mennonite Church, on Saturday, October 6th at 3: 00 p.m., with Pastor Scott Brubaker-Zehr officiating. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall. Private family interment, at Wanner Mennonite Cemetery.
