    Henry Lambke

    PRESTON, Henry Frederick Lambke, 87, Preston resident for some 10 years, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Greb, 541 Church St. South, Preston, early today. He bad been ill for two weeks with heart trouble. Mr. Lambke was born in Kossuth and in later years operated the farm on which he was born, after 28 years on the farm, he came to Preston, residing here four years, when he returned to farming for a number of years on the Huron highway. Retiring 15 years ago, he returned to Preston six years ago, making his home, with his son-in-law and daughter, since that time. He attended Zion United Church. His wife, predeceased him in 1940. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Anderson of Agassix, B.C. and Mrs. Ervin (Hattie) Greb of Preston; four sons, Norman Lambke, Preston-Hespeler highway; Herbert of Glen Allan, Oliver of Sheffield and Milton Lambke of RR 2, Preston. Twenty grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, also survive, The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held Saturday, at 2: 30. Interment will be in Wanner's Cemetery.

    Norman Lambke

    LONDON, Ont., Norman Lambke of RR 1, Hespeler, died today at Victoria Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was 75. Mr. Lambke, was born in Waterloo Township, near Kossuth, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lambke. He farmed in Waterloo and Wellington Counties for many years, retiring in 1962, when he moved to Wallace Township, near Listowel. He moved to the Hespeler area, in November, 1969. Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Rieck; five sons, Howard, Orange, Calif., Clifford, Preston, Harold and Walter, Hespeler, and Jack, Gowanstown; six daughters, Mrs. Gladys Caron, and Mrs. Harold (Irene) Wilson of Preston, Mrs. Daniel (Dorothy) Priebe, Heidelberg; Mrs. Reginald (Ruth) Campbell, Hespeler; Mrs. Paul (Mary) Schwartzentruber, RR 2, New Hamburg and Mrs. Alfred (Grace) O'Krafka, Listowel; two brothers, Milton of RR 2, Preston and Oliver of Sheffield; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Anderson, Chilliwack, B.C. and Mrs. Ervin (Hattie) Greb, Preston, 36 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Herbert. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, after 7 p.m., Saturday, where Rev. Howard Schmitt, minister of Wanner Mennonite Church, will conduct the funeral, Monday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Wanner Mennonite cemetery.

    The funeral for Herbert Lambke, 63, of Elmira, who died Thursday, was conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor here.

    Mr. Lambke was born June 28, 1900 in Waterloo Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lambke. He attended the Evangelical United Brethren Church.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Herner; a son Russell of Kitchener; a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Marguerite) Niebergall of Kitchener; three brothers, Milton of Preston, Oliver of Sheffield and Norman of Kitchener and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Greb of Preston and Mrs. Dorothy Anderson of British Columbia.

    Rev. J.W. Siebert of Zion EUB Church, Elmira, conducted the funeral. Burial was in Elmira Cemetery.

Dear father of Donna (Dave) Bateman, Sharon (Wayne) Poole, Rick (Sharon) Lambke, Jerry (Chris) Lambke, Linda (Dave) Smith, Debbie Lambke, and Judy (Jean) Lambke. He was a much loved grandfather to 20 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 24 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter Barbara Coughlin. Loving brother to Harold, Grace O'Krafka, Dorothy Priebe, Mary Schwartzentruber and Howard Lambke. He was also predeceased by parents, Norman and Elsie Lambke and sisters Gladys Caron, Ruth Campbell and Irene Wilson and brothers Jack and Walter Lambke.     Passed away peacefully, on Monday, November 30, 2015, at St. Luke's Place, at 90 years of age. Born November 20, 1925, son of Norman and Elsie (Rieck) Lambke. Predeceased by wives Anne (Shuba) in 1976 and Jean (Cummings) in 1992. Survived by siblings; Howard (Gladys, CA), Mary Schwartzentruber (Paul) and Grace OKrafka (Alf). Predeceased by brothers, Walter (Doris), Clifford (Marie), Jack, and by sisters Gladys, Ruth (Reg), Dorothy (Dan) and Irene (Harold). Much loved uncle of many, many nieces, nephews, great-niece, great-nephews and their families. Harold will also be missed by his many friends. Harold volunteered for the Canadian Armed Forces, at the age of 18 and was trained at Camp Borden, 1943-1945. He was a legion member of Branch #272 Hespeler and was a hard working quiet gentleman, who had worked at the foundry and later delivered and installed milk coolers. Family will receive guests at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge, on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 11 a.m., followed by interment, at Wanner Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Mr. Lambke was predeceased by two sisters. Also survived by five grandchildren. He was a retired employee of American Standard, Cambridge.     Toronto (Special) -- June Schwartzentruber, " a real woman of vision" whoworked as a mission consultant for the Waterloo-based Mennonite Conference ofOntario and Quebec since 1979 died in a Toronto hospital Monday. She was 52. "Her death is a real loss to the conference and to the mission programsbecause she had a vision as to what it meant to work with people in both lowerincome and suburban areas," said Paster Brice Balmer of Kitchener, chairman of the mission board. "She was a good friend to many, many people," Balmer added.To Pastor Vernon Leis, another Kitchener clergyman and longtime friend ofSchwartzentruber, she was a woman of vision who worked for a long time under the handicap of a heart ailment. A Cambridge native, Schwartzentruber worked many years in the U.S.including several years for the Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities in Elkhart, Indiana, in the 1950s.She later attended Eastern Mennonite College where she met her husband,Hubert, who was consultant with her for the local conference mission board. They later worked in St. Louis, Mo., from 1959 until 1972.She is survived by her parents Milton and Mary Lambke of Cambridge, her husband Hubert, her daughter, Lorna, who is a Voluntary Service Worker in Mississipi and her son Michael, who is living in Indiana, two sisters Janice Snider and Joyce Dettweiler, and one brother, Paul Lambke. Graveside service and burial will be at the Hagey Cemetery in CambridgeThursday at 10: 30 a.m. A memorial service will follow at the Warden Woods Church in Scarboro, Thursday at 3 p.m.
