    Henry A. Schacht

    Milverton - Henry A. Schacht of Milverton died Sunday at his home after a heart attack. He was 81. Born in Kitchener, he was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Carl Schacht. He had been a resident of the Twin Cities for many years before moving to Milverton seven years ago to live with his son Percy. He was employed at Murawsky Furniture Co., before retiring in 1958. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Clara Kropf in January, 1947. He was also predeceased by one son Clayton, three brothers and a sister. Surviving besides his son Percy are two brothers, Frederick and Paul, both of Kitchener; two sisters Mrs. James (Annie) Cameron of Kitchener and Mrs. Paddy (Louise) Farrell of Windsor; and two grandsons. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, where the service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. A. A. Schweitzer of St. Mark's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.

    Schacht, Percy J. - At Kincardine Hospital, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1992, following a lengthy illness, Percy Jack Schacht, age 77 years, of Kincardine, formerly of Ripley. Mr. Schacht served in the Canadian Army as a Sergeant, was a charter member and former president of the Dundas Optimist Club, a former member of the Milverton Lions Club and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 509 Kitchener. Beloved husband of Olive (nee Koch); dear father of Brian of Brantford, Cammie and his wife Barbara of London, Ont. Loving grandfather of Cindi Marie, Karen and Stephen. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Clara (nee Kropf) and one brother, Clayton. Friends and relatives may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Thursday), 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal service in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Friday, 1 p.m. Internment Memory Gardens. Memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society gratefully acknowledged. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.

    Clayton Schacht

    A lifelong resident of Kitchener, Clayton Schacht, 45, of 948 King St. East, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Born Feb. 20, 1913, he was the son of Mr. Henry Schacht and the late Mrs. Schacht. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was employed in shoe manufacturing. He married the former Hilda Warnholtz in 1943 and she survives. Also surviving is one brother, Percy, of Dundas. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted by Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt on Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.1a

    Schacht, Brian Keith - Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Sunday, August 3, 2008, at the Brantford General Hospital, in his 66th year. Dear friend of Gail, Julie and Virginia. Loving father of Cindi (Kevin) Claydon and grandfather of Chloe. He will be remembered also by Erik Lund. Brother of Cammie (Barb) and uncle of Stephan and Karen. Predeceased by his parents, Percy and Olive (nee Koch) Schacht. As golf and work were Brian's life, he too will be missed by his golf buddies and many friends at Sears where he was dedicated for over 35 years, retiring in 1998. The Schacht family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 1: 30 p.m. until the time of Brian's memorial service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
