SCHENK, Mrs. Laura At St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Wednesday, Dec 31, 1986, aged 86 years, of Heritage House, St. Jacobs and formerly of Waterloo.
Mrs. Schenk was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and former member of the LCW.
Beloved mother of Lorraine and her husband Murray Hilker, Larry and his wife Janice, all of Waterloo, Doris and her husband Karl Riemer, Aaron Jr. and his wife Clarine, Audrey and her husband Thomas Barron, Lucille and her husband James McGinnis, all of Kitchener.
She is also lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her sister, Mrs. Lillie Ellis of Harriston. She was predeceased by her husband, Aaron Schenk in 1969, one son, Vincent in 1922 and four brothers and her parents, Margaret and Fred Oehm.
Mrs. Schenk's family are receiving friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. Waterloo, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. At noon on Saturday, transfer will be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, for funeral service at 2 p.m. (Saturday), with Rev. Jack Dressler officiating. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens.

Obituary of Aaron Edward Schenk
Born August 31st, 1926, in Ayton, Ontario; passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19th, 2019, in his 93rd year, at the Perley & Rideau Veterans' Health Centre in Ottawa where he resided since December 2016. Known affectionately as "Junior" by his family and "Ernie" by his friends, Aaron was a lifelong resident of Kitchener-Waterloo and a faithful employee of Canada Post in Kitchener from 1965 until his retirement in 1991, as well as a staunch supporter of the Waterloo Siskins Junior B hockey team for many of his retirement years.
Dear father of Laura (Jim Sloat) and Nancy (Lucien Bossé). Proud grandfather of Kristy (Ryan Cornell), Joel, Dan, Natalie and Jérémie. Survived by his sisters Audrey Barron and Lucille McGinnis, and his brother Larry Schenk (Janice). Predeceased by his wife Clarine (nee Sosnoski), his son, Gary (survived by Corinne Webb), his parents, Aaron and Laura Schenk, his brother Vincent (infancy), his sister Doris and husband Karl Riemer, his sister Lorraine and husband Mike Hilker, and his brothers-in-law Thomas Barron and Jim McGinnis. Remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews.
