    FRIES, Mark Clayton - On Thursday, Oct. 2, 1997, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Mark Fries, of Waterloo, in his 38th year. Mark was owner/operator of Heritage Scale and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport and the Lincoln Village Community Association (LVCA). He was actively involved with the Venture's Winter Color Guard and did volunteer work for Cystic Fibrosis. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Zettel) and loving father of Daniel and Heather; dear son of Jean Fries and brother to David, Greg and his wife Karen and Nancy and her husband Wayne Zinger. Predeceased by his father, Claude Fries. Relatives and friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Saturday), 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made Monday morning, 9 a.m. to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 554 Bridgeport Rd., Kitchener, where the visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Alan Kehn officiating. Interment Parkview Cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
