    Mrs. Louis J. Newmaster - Mrs. Louis J. Newmaster, 82, of RR 1, Linwood, died Wednesday in K-W Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Mornington Township, July 20, 1882, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lanz. She had lived on a farm near Linwood for the past 54 years. She was a member of the Women of the Church. Her husband, whom she married Jan. 12, 1904, in Millbank, died April 25, 1963. Surviving are two sons, Arnold of RR 1, Linwood, and Gordon of Baden; one daughter, Mrs. Lorne (Idella) Rieck of Kitchener; one brother Oscar of Linwood; two sisters, Mrs. Milton Glabb of Linwood and Addie Lanz of Kitchener, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Saturday when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, for services at 3 p.m. conducted by church pastor Rev. A. L. Wedman. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery Linwood.

    NEWMASTER, Gordon - On Sunday, Aug. 22, 1993, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a brief illness.

    He was born in Wellesley township 78 years ago, a son of the late Louis and Olive (Lantz) Newmaster. He resided in Baden and was the former owner and operator of Gord's Confectionary in Baden prior to retirement. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Baden and had served in the RCAF during the Second World War.

    Beloved husband of the former Margaret Bettschen who predeceased him May 17, 1985. Loving father of Janet and her husband Art Pommer of Listowel, Jean and her husband Lorne Anderchek of Ottawa and Shirley and her husband Ted Sivyer of Kitchener. Ever remembered by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Survived by one brother, Arnold and one sister, Idella and her husband Lorne Rieck, all of Waterloo.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Monday). 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 1993 at 10 a.m. transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Baden, for the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Stewart. Schroeder officiating. There will be a time of fellowship and lunch in the church. basement followed by interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Linwood.
