Mrs. Peter Ritter - by Record Correspondent - ST. JACOBS - The funeral for Mrs. Peter Ritter, 61, of St. Jacobs, who died Sunday at K-W Hospital, will be held Wednesday at St. James Lutheran Church at 4: 30 p.m. Rev. Harold Brill will officiate. The body is at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira. Mrs. Ritter, the former Mabel Fleet, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fleet. She was born in Glen Allan and was a member of St. James' Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband, whom she married at Heidelberg in 1922; four sons, George and Harold of St. Jacobs, Frederick of Orillia, and Carl of Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. Lorne (Frances) Reger of Waterloo, Mrs. George (Jean) Adamson and Mrs. Elgin (Grace) McCandless of Elmira; three brothers, Norman of Dundas, Clayton of Bronte and Allan of Palmerston; two sisters, Mrs. Emerson Gowing and Mrs. Wilbert Goodwin of Glen Allan, and 22 grandchildren. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ritter, Harold R. - Peacefully, on Thursday, May 23, 2002, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Harold Ritter, in his 78th year, of St. Jacobs. Beloved husband of Merle (Kreller) Ritter of St. Jacobs. Dear father of Rick Ritter of Waterloo, Roger and Linda Ritter of Waterloo, Sheila Ritter and Ron Rau of Little Fort, B.C., Todd Ritter of St. Jacobs, Kim and Jeff Nairn of Waterloo. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Lisa, Mark and Robin, Sherry (Doug), Seth, Sarah and Eli, Amy, Adam and Andrew and two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Jeffrey; brother of George and Ruth Ritter of St. Jacobs, Fred and Florence Ritter of Orillia, Frances Reger and her friend Ken Weber of Waterloo, Carl and Doreen Ritter of Waterloo, Jean and George Adamson of Elmira, Grace and Elgin McCandless of Elmira. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mabel (Fleet) Ritter; one son, Peter (1952); brother-in-law, Lorne Reger. Harold worked at Burns Meat for over 35 years. An avid fisherman and hunter, a member of the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club and a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs. There will be no funeral home visitation. At Harold's request, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service for family and friends at St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs, on Saturday, May 25 at 11 am, with Rev. David Hammer officiating.

ST. JACOBS - Peter George Ritter, three-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ritter, St. Jacobs, died during an operation at the Toronto Sick Children's Hospital, yesterday.
The child was born at Kitchener, Nov. 12, 1948.
Surviving besides his parents are one brother Eric, his grandmother, Mrs. Angeline Kreller, RR 2, Waterloo; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ritter, St. Jacobs.
The body is resting at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira. The service will be held in the funeral parlor chapel, Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be made in St. James's Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs. Rev. Roy Grosz will officiate.
