    ASHCROFT, Anne Marie - Passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Anne resided in Wellesley and was formerly of St. Agatha. Anne was born 74 years ago in Kitchener and grew up in Owen Sound, a daughter of the late Harry and Alice (Bechtel) Ashcroft. She was an active member of St. George's Anglican Church, New Hamburg and a long time member of the Order of St. Luke. Anne graduated from Queen's University and completed a master's from Middlebury College, Vermont prior to a long teaching career that took her to Colborne, Belleville, Germany, Windsor, Glenview Park in Galt and the Grandview Correctional Institute. Anne's career culminated in her role as teacher and vice-principal at Woodland Christian High School, Breslau, for 20 years. Sadly missed by dear friends Pat Davis, and Henry and Diane Stronks and their children Anna and Matt, Derek, Helena and Gerard. Lovingly remembered by brother Douglas and his wife Ann Ashcroft of Owen Sound and their children Steven and Alice, and brother-in-law Reuben Gay of Texas and his sons, Douglas, Michael and Bobbi. Also remembered by cousins Norma, Ruth and Aunt Cora. Anne was predeceased by brother Donald Ashcroft and sister Mary Ashcroft Gay. According to Anne's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends, former students and colleagues are welcome to share their memories of Anne at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. A Memorial Service in the Anglican Tradition will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11: 00 a.m. by the St. George's Congregation at Trinity Lutheran Church, 23 Church St., New Hamburg (PLEASE NOTE LOCATION) with Rev. Jesse Dymond and Rev. Canon France Ouimet-Wilson officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to St. George's Accessibility Project or Tuition Assistance at Woodland Christian High School.
