    BARR, Hugh Thomas, July 22, 1934 - June 20, 1999, formerly of Elliot Lake and Oakville, Ontario - Peacefully in his 65th year, after a lengthy battle with cancer, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Cambridge, Ontario. Beloved husband and dearest friend of Yvonne for 45 years. Loving father of Brenda Lackie and her husband Michael of Elliot Lake and Suzanne Trimble-DeReske and her husband Gregory of Cambridge. Grandchildren Kathryn, Jessica, Matthew and Sean will sadly miss their "Poppa". Brother of Andrew Barr and his wife Donna of Owen Sound and James Barr and his wife Ida of Uxbridge. Predeceased by parents, James and Cecelia Barr. Survived by many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Hugh's family wish to thank the following: The Cancer Care and Oncology Teams of Cambridge Memorial Hospital, the Home Support Program of Cambridge and all the doctors, nurses and support staff who helped Hugh and his family through this difficult time. A service of remembrance will be held at the family plot in Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville, Ontario on Saturday, July 10, 1999 at 10 o'clock. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Oncology Department of Cambridge Memorial Hospital would be appreciated. Funeral arrangement in care of Nelson Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge. Those who knew Hugh will miss him deeply … we love you Poppa.
