    BLUM, Frank William In loving memory of Frank William Blum, 87 years, who passed away Tuesday morning, September 24, 2002 at The Extendicare York. Beloved husband of Mildred Naumann Blum predeceased 1994. Loving father of Ross predeceased 1995, Raymond wife Penny of Sault Ste Marie, Thomas wife Val of North Battleford, Frank Jr. wife Cheryl of Sarnia, Richard wife Donna of Walden, Robert wife Joyce of Swift Current, Barbara husband Sandy MacLennan and Brenda husband Chris Cayen both of Walden. Cherished grandpa of 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear son of Nicholas and Doris Blum both predeceased. Dear brother of Bill Hotten of North Bay, predeceased by Irene Guckenberger, John, Helen Stumpf and Nick. Born in Baden, he worked at INCO Levack and Creighton Mines for 37 years, retiring in 1972. He served overseas in World War II and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Lively Branch, then Little Current Branch. He was a past chief of the Creighton Volunteer Fire Department. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing. Funeral service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Thursday, September 26, 2002 at 4 pm. Cremation in the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Friends may call after 1:30 pm Thursday. Published on September 25, 2002

    Obituary for Mary Martin

    Passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Mary resided in New Hamburg and was born 73 years ago in Kitchener. She was the daughter of the late Robert & Irene (Blum) Guckenberger.

    Beloved wife of James Martin with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. Loving mother of Steve & Sue Martin, Bonnie & Mark Weber, Brad & Sandy Martin, all of New Hamburg. Beloved grandmother of Carrie and Matt, Kacie, Kyle, Erin and Justin, Stephanie and Derek, and great-grandmother of Sophia. Also remembered by her sister Audrey Peters of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Diane Guckenberger of Kitchener. Mary was predeceased by her brother William Guckenberger.

    Mary was an avid golfer and was a member of the Mitchell Golf Club. She was active in minor ball and ladies hockey. She eagerly and happily drove the bus for the Hahns hockey team. She also took it upon herself to help the firefighters with various tasks.

    Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday December 12, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation to follow. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Breast Cancer Research.
