McEwen Spence
PRESTON, McEwen Spence of 337 Wellington St. S., died Wednesday, at South Waterloo Hospital. He was 97. Born Dec. 25, 1873, he resided at Michipicoten, Guelph. Alliston and Oakville, before coming to Preston, in 1952 He was a dental technician until retiring, in 1950. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and a life member of Melita Maconic Lodge at Thornhill. Surviving are his wife, the former Alberta Hunter: one son, Hugh of Toronto: one step-son. Donald Hunter of Guelph and four step-grandchildren. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where funeral and committal services will be conducted Saturday, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
