Of 31 Churchill Drive, Cambridge, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, October 27th, 1989, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Crump, dear father of Ernest, Mrs. Marjorie Short, Ruth (Mrs. Thomas Boyd) and Betty Leutwein all of Cambridge, sadly missed by grandson John Short of Kitchener and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by five sisters and two brothers, he was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121. A private family service was held at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, on Monday, October 30th, 1989. Interment Mount View Cemetery.

At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, January 31, 1999, Ernie Leutwein of Churchill Drive, Cambridge in his 79th year. Ernie worked as an electrician in Cambridge, for over 50 years. Beloved brother of Betty Leutwein, Ruth Boyd and her husband Tom and Marjorie Short all of Cambridge. Dear uncle of John Short of Waterloo and dearest great uncle of Ian Short of Calgary and Lisa Short of Cambridge. Service was held at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday, February 2, 1999. Interment followed in Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.

LEUTWEIN, Betty
Betty Leutwein of Cambridge, Ontario, passed away peacefully, Thanksgiving Day, October 9, 2005, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. She was 85. Friends and family were with her throughout the day. Betty was predeceased by her twin brother, Ernie, in January of 1999. Mother, Elizabeth Leutwein (nee: Crump) passed away in 1970 and father, Roy Leutwein died in 1989. Sisters, Ruth (Tom) Boyd and Marjorie Short survive Betty and are joined in their sorrow by the special friendship of Irene Everingham. Nephew John (Rebecca) Short, Linda Morris Short, Lisa Short (Peter Faragher), Ian (Julie) Short, Sophia (Phil) Connell, William (Darla) Elliott will all fondly remember Betty's unique humour, loyalty and love. Over the past three years, Betty enjoyed hearing, learning and participating in the lives of her great-grandnieces and nephews, Lily and Cameron Faragher, Katherine Short, Laura, Alice and Madeline Connell, Zofia and Thomas Elliott. A private funeral service was conducted Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at the Corbett Funeral Home, in Cambridge. Interment will be in Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
