Irvine Brodie

Irvine August Brodie of Cochrane died Monday in Col. Belcher hospital.

Born In Waterloo. Ont.. he moved to Cochrane 39 years ago and was connected with the Cochrane hotel from 1906 until 1915.

Mr. Brodie was president of the Cochrane branch of the Canadian Legion and was noble :rand of the IOOF lodge, No. 89. Bow Valley Cochrane.

He served overseas during First Great War with the 137th Battalion of Calgary until 1919. After returning to Cochrane he operated a barber shop until 1943.

Surviving are his wife Isabella. Cochrane. two daughters, Mrs. Oliver Edge, Cochrane. Mrs. Richard Shantz, Seehe. and three grandchildren.

Rev W N. Leard will conduct services In the Cochrane United church. Thursday at 2 p m. Burial will follow in the Field of Honor, Cochrane cemetery.
