SCHLUCHTER-Minerva Schluchter, nee Elenbaum, was born March 13, 1846, in Wilmot Tp., Waterloo Co., Ont. She died at her home in Cavalier, N. D., Dec. 11, 1915. In 1865 she was united in marriage to Christ Heist, who preceded her in death in 1869. In 1877 she was married again to John Schluchter with whom she lived 38 years. This union was blessed with 2 sons and 3 daughters, In 1884 she moved with her family to Hamlin Co., N. D., remaining there until about 8 years ago, when the family moved to Cavalier, where they have lived. ever since. At 18 she was converted to God and united with the Evangelical Association, remaining a member until death. The last few weeks of her life was a time. of intense suffering, but she always found comfort in prayer. She leaves to mourn her loss, husband, 2 sons, 3 daughters, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
