    Notes:

    Miss Martha Ann Wenger passed away at Pontiac, Michigan, at 7:15 a. m., Wednesday morning. Dec. 6. following an illness of about a year She had been confined to bed for for the past few weeks, but the end came suddenly, and as a great shock to her family and many friends

    Funeral services were held for her Friday evening. Dec. 8, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Albert Hetherington, by Rev. F. C. John son, of the First Methodist church, Pontiac. Mrs Willetta, of Pontiac,) rendered appropriate vocal selections. The remains were brought to the Hyalop cemetery, Elmer township, Saturday morning. Services at the grave were conducted. by Rev. James H. James, of the, Methodist church of Elmer, at 11:30 a. m.

    Miss Wenger was the daughter of Christian and Mary Ann Wenger, and was born on a farm near Sandusky on May 5, 1886, the family later moving to Yale, Mich. She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Wenger, who is in her []6th year, brother: _____ Mrs. Leah Regan, Ann Arbor: Mrs. Alta Hetherington, Pontiac: Mrs. Mary Curtis, Detroit, and Menno Wenger, of Elmer township

    The deceased was a registered Hackler Hospital Training School, for Nurses, Muskegon, Mich. In the class of 1912. After her graduation: she became a supervisor in the hospital where she trained, which postion she held for several years. During the World war she served as an army nurse at Fort Riley. Kansas. Since the war she has, done, private duty nursing in and around Detroit. Her last position was as head nurse at a private sanatorium at Farmington, Mich. which position she was forced to resign about a year ago because of a heart condition. During the pass year she has lived at the home of her sister, Mr.. Hetherington, In Pontiac. She has led a busy, useful life, and gave lavishly of her time and strength in her service for others. She is well known in the nursing field, and has a wide circle of friends who mourn her

    Miss Wenger was a member of the Hackley Hospital Alumnae association, the Wayne county branch of the Michigan State Nurses' association, and of the Regan-Lide post of the American Legion. Detroit; also the American Red Cross Nursing service.
