    At St. Joseph's Hospital, Brantford, on Thursday, Feb. 3, 1983, aged 91 years, Charles Westfall, of 300 Regina St., Waterloo. A retired employee of Greb Industries Ltd. Son of the late Joseph Westfall and Lena Henirich; husband of the late Lena Baumann, Hester Graf and Dora Klein; surviving is one son, Rev. Charles William Westfall, CR, of Brantford; one step-son, Lorne Winkler of Waterloo; two step-daughters, June (Mrs. Herb Fliegler) of Alberta and Patricia (Mrs. John Emsley) of Kitchener; one brother, Oscar (Wes); two sisters, Olivia (Liefa) (Mrs. Ralph Schauss) and Marjorie (Mrs. Harry Boyd), all of Kitchener; two grandchildren, Robert and Larry Westfall,. Predeceased by one son, Earl; two brothers, Herbert (Pat) and Harry and two sisters, Edna and Ella Rockel. Visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., after 2 p.m. today. Scripture service, this evening at 8 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 9: 30 a.m., followed by mass of Christian burial at St. Francis RC Church at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Congregation of the Resurrection would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    WESTFALL, Reverend Father Charles, CR The Congregation of the Resurrection sadly announces the death of Father Charles Westfall on September 7, 2012, in Hamilton, Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Esther (nee Graf) Westfall. Father Westfall professed his religious vows in the Congregation on September 8, 1955 in Dundas, Ontario and was ordained to the ministerial priesthood on June 1, 1963 at St. Peter's Basilica in London, Ontario. He began his ministry in Catholic education serving as a teacher at Scollard Hall, North Bay; St. Jerome's High School, Kitchener; and St. John's College Brantford and chaplain at St. Jerome's University, Waterloo. He taught at McArthur Teacher's College at Queen's University, Kingston, founded the National Prison Arts Foundation, and served in multiple roles within the Congregation. Respecting Father Westfall's wishes, prayers will be offered in all the religious houses of the Congregation but there will be no public funeral liturgy. Donations in Father Westfall's memory may be made payable to the Congregation of the Resurrection, 265 Westmount Road North, Waterloo, ON N2L 3G7.
