Passed away, on Monday, November 3, 2014, at St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 93. Loving husband of Betty (nee Messerschmidt) for 67 years. Cherished father of Diane Dann (Bernard) of Michigan, US. Grandfather of Joy Dann of California, US and Amy Dann of Michigan, US. Elroy will also be missed by sister-in-law, Doris Messerschmidt and many nieces and nephews. Elroy was the last surviving of his 10 siblings. Elroy's family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m., with a Legion Service at 10:45 a.m., on Monday, November 10, 2014, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Rev. Gloria Ryder officiating. Reception to follow. Interment in Mountview Cemetery, Cambridge.
