    Aaron Martin, "the eighth son, was born August 21st, 1846. He resides in Howick Township, Huron County, where he is engaged in farming. He was first married to Judith Snyder, January 30th, 1876. She was the daughter of Absalom and Mary (Bricker) Snyder and was born December 16th, 1846, and died May 14th, 1892. After the decease of his first wife he was married to Barbara, daughter of Aaron and Annie (Rudy) Ziegler. She was born January 21st, 1858. With his first wife he had four children".

    Good. - Susannah, daughter of the late Aaron and Judith (Snyder) Martin, was born in Woolwich Twp., Ont., Dec. 5, 1877; died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital after a brief illness, Nov. 19, 1947; aged 69 y. 11 m. 14 d. Surviving are her husband (Israel Good), 3 children (Ida - Mrs. Burnie Morley, Stayner, Ont.; Roy and Elvyn, Elmira, Ont.), 5 grandchildren, and one brother (Absalom, Carstairs, Alta.). She was a member of the Elmira, Ont., Mennonite Church for many years. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Oliver D. Snider, assisted by Howard S. Bauman. Interment was made in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery.

    MRS. E. S. SHANTZ

    HESPELER, Sept. 11. The death occurred in Galt Hospital, on Sunday of Mrs. E. S. Shantz,56. She had undergone an operation for appendicitis and had been ill only three days. Deceased, nee Ida Martin, was born in Howick township. She was married to Edwin S. Shantz in Jan. 1902 and has since resided on the Lake Road, Puslinch township. She was a member of Wanner's church, near Hespeler. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mr. R. S. Evans, Puslinch township, one brother, Absalom Martin of Carstairs, Alta. and one sister, Mrs. Israel Good of Elmira. The funeral will be held from the residence on Wednesday, at 2: 30 p.m. Service will be conducted by Rev. S. M. Kanagy of Blair. Interment will take place in Wanner's Cemetery.

    Mrs. Edwin S. Schantz, a resident of this district for the past thirty-six years, at Galt Hospital on Sunday, after three days illness from appendicitis, in her 59th year. Born in Hawick Township, Huron County on July 8, 1880, Mrs. Schantz spent her early years in that district. On January 14, 1902, she married Mr. Schantz and came to Puslinch to make her home. She was a faithful and active member of Wanner's Mennonite Church and is mourned by the congregation and a wide circle of friends. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. R. S. Evans; a brother, Absalom Martin of Carstairs, AB; and a sister, Mrs. Israel Good of Elmira. The funeral, from her home on the Lake Road in Puslinch Township on Wednesday at 2: 30, was attended by a large number of friends. Rev. S. M. Kanagy of Blair, minister of the Mennonite Church, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. J. W. Witmer of Hespeler and Rev. Kaufman of Vineland. Interment Wanner's Cemetery. Pallbearers: Roy and Elvin Good of Elmira; C. Rudy of Breslau; E. Hunsberger, W. Tremain and Milne Jamieson.

    GOOD, Elwin "Shorty" Passed away peacefully at Trinity Village on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Lena (nee Lammert) (2000). Loving father of Diane (Terry) Arndt and Karen (Julien) Faucher. Cherished grand-father to Kevin (Cindy) Arndt, Michelle Arndt, Andrea (Mark) Irwin and Paul Faucher and great- grandfather to Sarah, Tyler Arndt, Brayden, Anna Irwin, and Helen Faucher. He will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his special friend Marjorie Sawyer. Predeceased by his parents, Israel and Susanna Good, his brother, Roy (Lois) Good and Ida (Bernie) Morby. Elwin was a World War II veteran serving overseas. Elwin's family will receive relatives and friends at Christ Lutheran Church, 445 Anndale Rd. at Lexington, Waterloo, ON N2K 2E3 on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. The funeral for Elwin will be held at 1 p.m. at the church.
