FLORADALE The oldest resident of this vicinity, Mrs. Elizabeth Ritter, 92, died at the home of her son, Alfred Ritter, Elmira, RR 1, Thursday after a lengthy, illness. Mrs. Ritter was born in Wahlen, Germany, Jan. 2, 1862, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Korell. She was the only surviving member of a family of eight.

Coming to Canada at 19 years of age, along with her brother, the late Charles Korell, she resided with an aunt at Bridgeport. In 1885 she married William Ritter at St. Jacobs and then moved to the farm north of Floradale where she has resided for nearly 70 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Floradale.

Surviving are three sons, Albert, Oscar and Alfred; three daughters, Mrs. Theophil (Melinda) Geisel, Mrs. Ella Schmermund and Mrs. Leslie (Edith) Aberle, all of Elmira; also 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband 32 years ago and also by one daughter.

The body will rest at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until Sunday noon, when removal will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Floradale, for service at 2:30 p. m. DST with Rev. Frank Malinsky officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

CHARLES R. KORELL

The death of Charles R. Korell of R.R. 1, Elmira, Woolwich township, occurred at 11.30 o'clock yesterday morning at the K-W hospital.

The deceased was a farmer by occupation and in religion a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Floradale, He was ill for only five days. He was born in Germany 58 years ago and came to Canada 44 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters, Norman Korell of Welland, Harold and Carl at home, Miss Elmeda Korell of Kitchener and Miss Eileen Korell at home. Also surviving are three brothers, August, Henry and John of Germany and two sisters, Mrs. William Ritter of Floradale and Miss Korell of Germany.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 14. with a service at two o'clock at his late residence near Floradale to be followed with a service at 2.40 o'clock in the Floradale Lutheran church. Interment will be made in the Floradale Lutheran cemetery. Rev. F. Malinsky will have charge of the service.

Floradale - Alfred John Ritter, 62, of RR 1, Elmira, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Ritter was born in Woolwich Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ritter. He lived and farmed in the area throughout his life. He was a member and elder of Trinity Lutheran Church, Floradale.

Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Eix, whom he married in 1932; three sons, Arthur, William and Paul all at home; two brothers, Albert of Floradale, and Oscar of Elmira; three sisters, Mrs. Theophil (Melinda) Geisel, Mrs. Ella Schmermund and Mrs. Leslie (Edith) Aberle, all of Elmira. He was predeceased by one sister.
