    KRAFT, Waiter Philip

    After a lengthy illness, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Sunday, March 4, 1990, age 84 years, of 65 Jackson Ave., Kitchener. Mr. Kraft was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had been retired from John Forsyth Co. after 50 years of service. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Scoble); dear father of Joy and her husband Marvin Smith of Rexdale, Ont, Survived by five grandchildren, Walter Skinner, Norma Skinner Lewsink, Michael Smith, Scott and David Robertson and a great-granddaughter, Cassandra Robertson. Also survived by a son-in-law, Norman Skinner of Cambridge (Preston) and a niece Mrs. Betty Huehn of Blair and a brother-in-law, Frank Leal. Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Lydia Kraft; a daughter, Jane Skinner; a grandson, Mark Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Good and Mrs. Ruby Leal and one brother, Herman. Mr. Kraft's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, today (Monday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., then transfer to St. John's Lutheran Chapel on Tuesday at 12 noon, for funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel, Rev. Eric Weber officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery.

    HUEHN, Elizabeth Mae "Betty" On Tuesday morning May 15, 2012, the day after her 84th birthday, with her children at her side, Betty passed away leaving this life to join her husband Chris in Heaven. Betty overcame cancer on several occasions in her later years but succumbed when it recently surfaced yet another time. Betty leaves behind her daughter Susan, (husband Bryan Gordon), son Tom and loving grandchildren Geoff, Chris, Jenn and Zachary Gordon. Throughout her life, Betty purposely sought to be actively involved in her beloved church family, Benton Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, had a passion for Missions and served in the Out of the Cold Program. She was also involved in the KW Christian Women's Club and Women Alive. Betty supported her husband Chris as a member of The Gideons. The family wishes to express special thanks for the compassionate care that was provided by The Village of Winston Park and most recently Fairview Mennonite Home and especially those who visited with Betty over the last few months. The Huehn family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The funeral service will be held at Benton Street Baptist Church, 90 Benton St., Kitchener, Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. A reception will be held at the Church following the interment in Woodland Cemetery.
