    MCGREGOR, Mrs. Benjamin - In the R.E.C.U. of the Stratford General Hospital, on Saturday, July 24, 1976, Clara Mae Grenzebach, of 20 Adam St., Tavistock, in her 89th year.

    Beloved wife of the late Benjamin McGregor, (1959); dear mother of Gordon, Embro: Howard, Tavistock; Wilfred, Route 6, Woodstock; Mrs. Ralph (Violet) Wiffen. Tavistock: Mrs. Wesley (Pearl) Nowack, Sebringville; Mrs. George (Lenore) Wilhelm, Route 2. Tavistock; Mrs. Ruby (Myrtle) Yecny, of Woodstock; dear sister of Lorne Grenzebach, Hickson; 17 grand- children, 40 great-grandchildren: predeceased by six brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.

    Friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St. N., Tavistock, on Sunday from 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in Grace United Church, Tavistock, Monday, July 26 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. John L. Tweedie will officiate. Interment in Grace United cemetery, Tavistock.

    Drowned While Bathing

    Alva Grenzebach, a young farmer, of East Zorra, was drowned at Lakeside, near Woodstock, last Thursday evening while bathing. He was unable to swim, but had been holding on to a piece of wood, which floated out into deep water. Several companions were with him and they noticed his hands suddenly slip from the buoy he was holding and saw him sink. He was not seen to again rise to the surface. Grappling hooks, and rescuers at once set to work and the body was recovered, death having taken place within a short time after the submerging. The body had lodged in the mud at the bottom of the lake and was recovered with difficulty. The late young man was 21 years of age.

    We are indeed sorry to mention the untimely death of one of Zorra's bright young men in the person of Mr. Alvin Grenzebach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Grenzebach, who lost his life at Lakeside while bathing. The funeral, which was held last Saturday at the 17th line cemetery, was well attended, which plainly showed the high esteem in which our young friend was held. The whole community of Zorra really feels sorry for Alvin's father and mother and brothers and sisters in their bereavement. Sweetly does he slumber. He's gone, but not forgotten.
