An aged and highly esteemed resident of New Hamburg passed away last Friday, June 26th, in the person of Mrs. James Anderson, mother of Dr. R. W. Anderson. Previous to her marriage, she taught school for ten years. Her husband predeceased her by thirty-five years. Twenty-two years ago she came to New Hamburg and had since made her home with her son, Dr. Andersen. She was a Methodist in religion and a ardent church worker. She leaves two sons, Dr. Anderson, of New Hamburg, and C. B. Anderson, of Seaforth, besides one sister, Miss E. Pentland; of Ottawa.

The funeral was held on Monday afternoon with Rev. A. E. Pletsch of the Evangelical Church in charge of the service. Interment took place in Riverside Cemetery.
