    DOROTHY ELIZABETH MASSEL (nee Kraft) 1918 - 2009 Passed away peacefully, at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Monday, February 2, 2009 in her 91st year with her family at her side. Loving mother of Betty Lou (Ron) Brunk; cherished grandmother of Charles Marshall (Marabel), Deborah Weiberg (Bob Meinema), Barbara Goodburn (Butch), Michael Brunk, Robert Brunk, and David Brunk (Leslie). Beloved great-grandmother to Sarah Marshall, Tamara, Nick and Shane Meinema and Krista Brunk; also survived by her brother, Clare Kraft and sisters, Anna Williams and Virginia Silver (Ron). Lovingly remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Jack Massel (1986); her son, Charles Massel and her daughter, Jane Marshall (Lorne); her brother, Donald Kraft (Grace); sister-in-law, Doris Kraft and brother-in-law, Henry Williams. To us who knew you as "Mom", "Grandma" and "Grandma-Great" you will be forever missed. Special thank you and much gratitude to the staff of Nithview Home, St. Mary's Hospital and Freeport Health Centre. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Dorothy's life will take place in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 1 p.m. Reception will follow the service. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Donations may be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or a charity of your choice and can be arranged through the funeral home, 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Dorothy a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.

    KRAFT, Donald - Suddenly at Victoria Place, Kitchener on Friday December 22, 2006, Donald in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Grace (2004). Father of Kimberley. Predeceased by his son, Douglas. Survived by brother, Claire; sisters, Virginia Silver of B.C. and Dorothy Massel. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Don was a longtime and faithful member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and served overseas in the Second World War. Service at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday December 23 at 1 p.m. (today). Interment in Woodland Cemetery to follow. Donations may be to the charity of your choice.
