    Mary Anne Holtzworth

    Funeral service and burial took place Saturday at the Mannheim Mennonite church for the former Mary Anne Knarr. She died last Wednesday at Heritage House, St. Jacobs' at the age of 88.

    She was the mother of Harold of Kitchener, Carl of Petersburg, Seleda (Mrs. Julius Wagenknecht) of Kitchener. Alberta (Mrs. Clayton Desch) of Kitchener and Lydia (Mrs. Irvin Weber) of RR2 Petersburg; grandmother of 15; great-grandmother of 15.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Holtz-worth, in 1969. She was the last surviving member of her family.

    Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Home LTC, Kitchener on Monday, September 3, 2018, at the age of 98 years.

    Loving mother of Brian, Nancy (David) Taves and Mary Anne (Stuart) Brodrecht. Special grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by her husband Clayton Oesch, son Robert and daughter Brenda Venturnio; parents Albert and Mary Anne (nee Knarr) Holtzworth; brothers Carl Holtzworth and Harold Holtzworth and sisters Seleda Wagenknecht and Lydia Weber.

    Alberta worked for many years as a caregiver to seniors. She enjoyed art and spent many hours colouring in front of her window at Sunnyside Home.

    Friends are invited to share their memories of Alberta with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service.     PTE. CARL HOLTZWORTH

    By Record Correspondent PETERSBURG, March 17.-Pte. Carl H. Holtzworth was wounded in both legs while fighting with the Essex Scottish Regiment in Holland on Feb. 28, and is recovering in a hospital following an operation on the legs.

    He had served with the Royal Canadian Artillery on the west coast for two years before going overseas in August, 1944. He later transferred to an infantry regiment.

    Pte. Holtzworth is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holtzworth, Petersburg.

Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, from 7-9 p.m., Monday and are invited (today) Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The service to celebrate Lydia's life and faith will be held at Erb Street Mennonite Church, Waterloo, on Wednesday, March, 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allan Rudy-Froese and Rev. Laurence Martin officiating. Interment to follow at Erb Street Mennonite Church. Following the committal service at the cemetery, friends and relatives are invited to return to the church for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
