LINWOOD DOCTOR DIES AT HIS HOME
Prominent Veterinary, G. G. Manser, Was Ill for Five Weeks

Linwood, Dec. 15 - Confined to his bed for the past five weeks, Dr. G. G. Manser, V.S., well-known resident of this district, died at his home here yesterday, in his 76th year. The deceased had been ill for some time.
Born at Crosshill, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Manser, Dr. Manger farmed on the Manger homestead for several years before entering the Ontario Veterinary College at Toronto. He graduated in 1893 and purchased a practice at Linwood where he has resided ever since.
The late Dr. Manser was a charter member of the Linwood branch of the I.O.O.F., which organization he joined in 1905. He was prominent as a judge at fall fairs and was a member of the executive of the Linwood Horse Show. He was a member of the Linwood United church. Dr. Manser was a staunch Liberal in politics. He was married at Linwood in June, 1894, to Sarah Hackett.
Surviving are his widow, one daughter Jetret L. of Linwood and two sisters, Mrs. E. E. Lord of Peterborough and Mrs. A. Robertson of Toronto.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from his late residence at 2 o'clock to Rushe's Cemetery, near Wellesley, for burial Rev. W. O. Mather, pastor of the Linwood United church, will officiate. Services will be under the auspices of the Linwood branch of the I.O.O.F.
