    JACOB HEIMPEL PASSES AT LOCAL HOSPITAL

    The death occurred yesterday afternoon of Jacob Heimpel, of Erbsville, at the Kitchener and Waterloo Hospital where he had been seriously ill for nearly three weeks. Mr. Heimpel was in his 64th year and was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran church, Erbsville and was one of its most faithful attendants.

    He leaves to mourn a wife and two sons and two daughters, as follows: Angus of Heidelberg, Alvin at home, Melinda (Mrs. Philip Conrad) Erbsville and Kate at home.

    The funeral will take place Sunday morning at 9:30 from his late residence in Erbsville to St. Peter's Lutheran church for service and interment at the Erbsville cemetery.

    Mr. Heimpel was well known in Waterloo and the surrounding countryside. His jovial good nature winning many friends for him, for he always had a smile and it was said of him that he could laugh more than any other man in the surrounding country.

    JACOB HEIMPEL

    A well known resident of Erbsville in the person of Mr Jacob Heimpel, passed away at the K. and W. Hospital on Wednesday, March 7. in his 64th year, after an illness of three weeks. Deceased was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Erbsville and will be missed by his many friends among whom he was quite popular.

    A sorrowing wife, two sons and two daughters survive namely, Angus of Heidelberg, Alvin at home, Melinda (Mrs. Philip Conrad) of Erbsville and Catharine at home.

    The funeral took place from the late residence on Sunday morning at 9.30 o'clock to St. Peter's Lutheran Church for service thence to the Erbsville cemetery for interment.

    Angus Heimpel

    Heidelberg - Angus Heimpel, 74, of Heidelberg, died in K-W Hospital Friday after a brief illness. Mr. Heimpel farmed at RR 1, Bamberg, for 42 years until he moved to Heidelberg eight years ago.

    He was born Nov. 30, 1893, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Heimpel of Wellesley Township.

    Surviving besides his wife, the former Minerva Jacobi, are a son Walter of RR 1, Bamberg, a daughter Mrs. Helen Shippanowski of Waterloo, a brother Alvin of Erbsville and nine grandchildren. Two sisters predeceased him.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener. Service will be conducted Monday at 3 pm by Rev. Arthur Horst at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, where Mr. Heimpel was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    WELLESLEY\emdash Mrs. George Dietz, 61, of Wellesley, died suddenly Saturday at K-W Hospital after surgery. She had been ill for some time.

    She was the former Catharine Heimpel and was born in Wellesley Township Sept. 29, 1902, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Heimpel.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley.

    Surviving are her husband, whom she married in 1930 in Kitchener; two brothers, Alvin of RR 3, Waterloo and Angus of Heidelberg. One sister predeceased her.

    The body will be at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Tuesday when removal will be made to St. Paul's Church where the funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. by Rev. Ronald Reisdorf. Temporary entombment in St. Paul's Cemetery Chapel will be followed by burial in the church cemetery.

    The family announces with sadness Walter's passing on Monday at the age of 88 years. He entered his eternal rest peacefully and comfortable at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira. He joins his beloved wife Eva (Schott) of 54 years (1998). Loving father of Lewis (Sheila) of RR 3 Moorefield, Joyce Dewit (Cornel) of Val Caron, Murray (Carol) of Elmira, Claribell deVries of Kitchener, Kenneth (Gertie) of RR2 Listowel, Rosie Metzger (Ken) of RR1 Waterloo, Janet Waito of Kitchener and Frederick (Melissa) of Bluevale. Proud and living grandfather of 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Angus and Minerva(Jacobi) Heimpel; a sister, Helen (Herman) Shippanowski and a god-son, Richard Wagner. Lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, many nieces, nephews and friends. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, Elmira, his home for the past year and Beechwood Manor, Waterloo, for the previous 6-1/2 years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Walter with his family at Erb & Good Family funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, July 3, 2008 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, on Friday, July 4, 2008 beginning at 1 pm, followed by the service at 2 pm with Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating. Interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg. A reception will follow the committal service.

    SCHAEFER, Lloyd A.P. -- On Friday, March 22, 1985, at K-W Hospital, Lloyd Angus Phillip Schaefer, aged 51 years, of 190 Neilson Ave., Waterloo Beloved husband of the former Myrtle Parks; dear father of Brian, Phillip, Robert and Michael; loving grandfather of Jason and Corey; son of Wilfred C. Schaefer; brother of Jean (Mrs. Donald Goodwin) and Enorma (Mrs Ernest Kingston). Predeceased by his mother, the former Alice Conrad in 1984 and a brother, Laverne. Lloyd was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had been employed at Burns Meats Ltd. for 32 years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Monday, March 25 at 11 a.m., Rev Jack Dressler will conduct the service.
