    HESPELER - James Armstrong, 80, of 121 Queen St.. East, Hespeler, died Friday at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt, after a brief illness. Born in Scotland, he lived in Canada for more than 60 years. He retired 15 years ago after many years in the insurance business and was an agent for the Prudential Life in Hespeler for 33 years.

    He was a member of St. Luke's United Church.

    Survivors include his wife, the former Julia Mueller; two sons, William of Preston and George of Hespeler; a sister, Mrs. John (Margaret) Witt of Kitchener; and one grandchild.

    His first wife, the former Agnes Bell, predeceased him in 1926.

    The body is at the Nelson Funeral Home, Hespeler, where the funeral will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. James A. Lawson will officiate. Burial will be in Hespeler Cemetery.

    WITT, Mrs. Margaret (nee Armstrong) - Passed away, at her home in Kitchener, in the loving arms of her son, on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the age of 75. Margaret was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kitchener. Dearly loved mother of Cameron Witt and his wife Patty of Waterloo and Sandra Witt of Langley, B.C. Cherished grandma of Hannah and Noah. She will be greatly missed by her many lady friends. Predeceased by her husband John Witt in 1991, her parents, and her siblings. Arrangements in care of the Ratz- Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel today, (Friday), June 25, 2004 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Kelly officiating. Cremation with interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener, at a later date. A reception will follow the service in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Grand River Hospital Foundation, K-W Health Centre Dialysis Unit and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 745-9495 or online through 1057@alderwoods.com.
