Mrs. Charles Smith - By Record Correspondent - PRESTON - Jan. 12 - Stricken with a heart attack, Pearl Krease, wife of Charles B. Smith, died suddenly at her home 445 Fountain St. yesterday afternoon at the age of 47 years. Mrs. Smith was apparently in good health and her sudden death came as a shock to the family and friends. Born in Limerick, she had resided in Preston and district all her life. She was a member of Hagey's Mennonite Church. Surviving are her husband; a son, Howard, of Preston; a brother, Wilfred Krease, Limerick, and a sister, Mrs. Percy Toman, Limerick. A daughter, Dorothy, died in infancy. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Hagey's Mennonite cemetery. Rev. Benjamin Shantz will officiate.

Beloved grandmother of Mark of Marathon, Michelle of Kitchener, Yvette Mock of Cambridge, Julie Paladino of Woodstock and Krista Fitton of Kitchener. Dear great grandmother of Jessica, Christopher, Taylor and Carl. Dear sister of Gordon Krease and his wife of Durham and David Krease and his wife Reina of Calgary and Catharine Rosebrugh of Cambridge and also survived by her brother-in-law, Basil Condy. She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Mabel Krease, her step-father, Thomas Harding, her sister, Gladys Steggles and Evelyn Condy. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her entire life to her family. Funeral and Committal Service will take place at Temple Baptist Church, 400 Holiday Inn Drive, Cambridge on Friday, September 24, 1999, at 1 p.m. Interment, Hagey Cemetery.

TOMAN, Raymond (Ted)

At St. Mary's Hospital, on Monday, March 22, 1999, following a lengthy illness, Raymond Toman, of Winston Park Retirement Home, Kitchener and formerly of Cambridge (Preston), age 83 years. Mr. Toman was a longtime employee of Clare Brothers before retirement. He was a member of Doon Valley Golf Club. He was also a volunteer fireman with the Preston Fire Department. Loving father of Virginia (tinny) and her husband Bob Hibbs of Kitchener. Survived by three grandchildren, Kelley and her husband Ed, Sheri, Kimberley and her husband Robert; brother of Norm Toman and his wife Kay of Kitchener, Ruth Bowman and her husband Valtin of Cambridge (Preston), Marlene Bowman and her husband Gord of Kitchener. Remembered by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Gladys (Triller); second wife, Hilda (Schultz); two brothers, Art and Rueben Toman. Friends and relatives may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 2: 30 p.m., with Rev.
