A member of St Mark's Lutheran Church, Kitchener; past director of North Waterloo Farmer's Mutual Insurance Company; a councillor for Wellesley township and a school trustee. Beloved husband of the former Caroline Miller; dear father of [...] all of Kitchener. Walter and Mrs. Vera Fischer, both of Waterloo, Edward and Helen (Mrs. Ralph Berg), both of Wellesley, Mildred (Mrs. Harold Lantz) of New Hamburg, Gladys of RR # 1 Britt, Rudy (Mrs. Edward Thompson) of RR # 1 Ariss. Also survived by one step-son, [...]. Brother of Mrs. Clara Schneider of Elmira and Nelson of Heidelberg. Survived by 43 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife, the former Hilda Duench; four brothers and two sisters. Mr. Hackbarfs family will receive friends at the Edward R Good Funeral Home, 171 King St S. Waterloo, today from 2-4 and 7-9pm. At noon Wednesday, removal will be made to St Mark's Lutheran Church, Kitchener for funeral services at 2pm., Rev. Wilfred L.Myra and Rev. Alan R Cook officiating. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens.

    Hackbart, Fred: Passed away peacefully at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the age of 91. Fred is reunited with his wife, Rose who predeceased him in 2005. Dear father of Gary (Florence), Lloyd (Ruth) all of Waterloo, Bruce (Maria) of Breslau, Gerald (Carolyn), Glen (Lisa), Brian (Trisha), all of Kitchener, Neil (Janice) of Mount Forest, Kathryn Troubridge (Bill) of Elora, Carolyn Benyair of Fergus and the late Raymond (1975) and Morris (1958). He will also be remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Brother of Arthur, Florence Schmidt, all of Kitchener, Helen Berg (Ralph) of Wellesley, Mildred Lantz of Morningside, Clayton (Margaret) of Kitchener, Gladys Hackbart (Dave) of Kitchener, Edward (Janet) of Heidelberg, Ruby Thompson (Edward) of Marden. Fred will be missed by sister-in-law Bernice Hackbart, Wilhelmina and many friends.

    Predeceased by his parents Edwin and Hilda (nee Duench) Hackbart, brothers Walter and Wilfred and sister Vera Fischer. Fred was a 40 year member (1960-2000) of the I.O.F. and a Past Chief Ranger, Court Conestoga #1169. He farmed in Breslau for many years where he was on the Cream Board, Wheat Board and Hog Producers Board and the seniors group. The Hackbart family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and 12-12: 45 PM on Thursday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The Funeral service for Fred will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 1 PM.

He was born in Wellesley township 88 years ago. Son of the late Edwin Hackbart and the late Hilda Duench. Walter farmed in the Crosshill area and worked at the University of Waterloo, then owned and operated a Department Store in Brussels. He retired in 1978.Beloved husband of the late Erma L. Neeb, who predeceased him December 24, 1988. Dear father of Keith and his wife Sandra Hackbart of Kitchener and Doreen and her husband Raymond LeDrew of Brampton.     LANTZ, Mildred Emma Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Lanark Heights Long Term Care Residence, Kitchener. She was born on August 5, 1926 in Wellesley Township, ON. Mildred was the daughter of the late Edwin and Hilda (Duench) Hackbart. Beloved wife of the late Harold Lantz who predeceased her June 11, 2005. Mildred and Harold farmed for 33 years in North Easthope Township, Perth County where they raised seven children. After moving to New Hamburg in 1982, Mildred worked as a Red Cross Homemaker. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Easthope Township where she was a member of the ELW. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and baking. Loving mother of Wayne of Kitchener, Murray and Dolena of Nova Scotia, Linda of Cambridge, Joyce and Mark Leis of R.R. # 4 Elmira, Sharon Dietrich of Kitchener, Calvin and Sarah of Oakville, Bruce and Wendy of R.R. # 2 Petersburg. Mildred loved with all her heart her 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Art Hackbart, Florence Schmidt, Helen Berg, Clayton and Margaret Hackbart, Gladys Hackbart, Edward and Janet Hackbart, Ruby and Edward Thompson and Bernice Hackbart.     WILFRED HACKBART 1930 - 2007 Wilfred died unexpectedly at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener, on Sunday, December 16, 2007. He was 77. He is the beloved husband of Bernice (Oswald). Wilfred will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Chris Hackbart and his wife Pamela Dorzek of Georgetown and Randy Hackbart and his wife Stacey Marshall of Vancouver. Brother of Fred and his wife Wilhemina, Art, Florence Schmidt, Helen and her husband Ralph Berg, Mildred Lantz, Clayton and his wife Margaret, Gladys Hackbart, Edward and his wife Janet and Ruby and her husband Edward Thompson. He was predeceased by his parents, Hilda (Duench) and Edwin Hackbart; brother, Walter and sister, Vera Fischer. Friends are invited to share their memories of Wilfred with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 10 a.m. Immediately following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
