    HURAS, Edwin D. -- At K-W hospital on Thursday, Sept. 4, 1986, Edwin Daniel Huras, age 89 years; a resident of Pinehaven Nursing Home, Waterloo, for the past ten years. Beloved father of Roy and his wife Susan of Kitchener, James and his wife Alice of Waterloo and Dorothy (Mrs. Gilbert Jones) of Kitchener; dear grandfather of Bryon and Douglas Huras, Brenda Hagedorn, Thomas and Jonathon Huras, Debbie Elsby, Sherry Miller and Cindy and Donald Huras and four great- grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, the former Flora Lautenschlager in 1985, his two sons, Donald and Weyburn; his brothers, Eckert, William and Herman; his sisters, Margaret Main, Amelia Schmidt, Clara Schmidt and Paula Kaufman. Mr. Huras was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Queen Street South, Kitchener; attended Euler Business College in Kitchener (Berlin). After being discharged from the Canadian Army in 1918, he joined the Kitchener Post Office. In 1930, acquired the Waterloo Spring Company Limited, where he was president until his retirement in 1975. In 1958, Mr. Huras established Huras Hopewell Farms in Breslau, which he operated until he had a stroke in 1975. Friends will be received at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 137 Queen St. S., Kitchener. Rev. Roger Winger will conduct the service. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau.

    Notes:

    Plan Separate Rites for Shooting Victims

    Separate funeral services will be conducted Monday for the three dead in yesterday's shooting at Waterloo Spring Company, Ltd.

    Services for Donald Huras, 27, and Frederick Beilstein, 41, will be conducted in the afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church by Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt.

    The body of Mr. Beilstein will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 am Monday when it will be removed to the church where friends may pay their respects until the service at 2 pm. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery.

    Same Funeral Home

    The body of Mr. Huras will be at the same funeral home until Monday at 2 pm. The service will be at the church at 3:30 pm. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.

    Both Mr. Huras and Mr. Beilstein were members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

    Mr. Huras is survived by his wife, the former Norma Browne; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin D. Huras; Waterloo, three brothers, Roy and James, Kitchener; Weyburn, Waterloo; and one sister, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Mairs, Rexdale, Ont.

    Mr. Beilstein is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Beilstein, Kitchener; five brothers, William, Hugo, Arthur, Robert, all of Kitchener; Richard, Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Karl Kurt, Jefferson, Ohio, and Mrs. Herbert Parker, Kitchener.

    Service at 9 A.M.


    The body of Frank Riem, 35, will be at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 pm. Prayers will be said Monday at 8:30 am and the service will be at St. Mary's RC Church at 9 am. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery.

    Mr. Riem was born in Yugoslavia in 1920 and came to Canada in 1927. He was a member of St. Mary's RC Church.

    He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathies Riem, Kitchener; four brothers, Matthew and Fred, Kitchener; Martin, Los Angeles, Calif.; Anthony, Hawkesville and one sister, Mrs. Anne De Martin, Kitchener.
