    William Calder

    The death took place on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at his home in the 13th Concession of Wellesley Township of William Calder, a highly respected resident there, aged 83 years, 1 month and 10 days.

    The late Mr. Calder was born in Wellesley Township and when a young man was united in marriage at Dorking to Mary Ann Mewhiney, daughter of the late Alexander and Mrs. Mewhiney of that neighborhood. After their marriage they resided in Mornington Township, near Dorking, for several years and their moved to the 13th Concession of Wellesley where they afterwards made their home. Mrs. Calder passed away about seven years ago. Mr. Calder had been an active member of the Linwood United Church for a number of years and was held in high esteem by his neighbors and friends. A family of five survive, namely: Alvina (Mrs. Joseph Beisinger) of Hesson; Norman of Southampton, Maggie (Mrs. William Lambert) of Dorking, Roy of Dorking and Harold on the homestead. There are also three surviving brothers and one sister: Nathan of Toronto, Archibald of Oshkosh, Wis., Lorenzo of Regina and Mrs. William of Saskatchewan. The late Mr. Calder was in fairly good health up to about three years ago when he was seized with a stroke from which he partially recovered and was able to go about until Sunday morning, when he was taken with another seizure from which he did not rally.

    The funeral will take place from his late home on the 13th Concession line of Wellesley on Friday, Feb. 24, at one oclock, p. m., to the Linwood Union Cemetery.

    On Sunday, May 29, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital, Margaret Schill, in her 88th year. She was a resident of Meadowcroft Place, Kitchener and formerly of Elmira and Linwood. Predeceased by her first husband, Anthony Eisenmenger (1976) and her second husband, Norman Schill (1986). Loving mother of Mel Eisenmenger and his wife Marlene of Conestogo Lake, Russel Eisenmenger and his wife Gladys, Frank Eisenmenger and his wife Marilyn, all of Kitchener, Helen Schnarr and her husband Ken of Waterloo, Gladys Beacom and her husband Wes of Linwood, Rita McIntosh and her husband Laverne of Drayton. Fondly remembered by 27 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Sister of Annie (Mrs. Norman Vollmer) of Elmira, Edith Forwell of St. Clements and Florence Kocher of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph Biesinger and Alvira Caulder and three brothers, Edward, Alex and Albert. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, this evening (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 9: 40 a.m., then to St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, Flamingo Drive, Elmira for funeral mass at 10 a.m., with Father Fred Bechely, CR, officiating, followed by interment in St. Clements RC Cemetery.     Died suddenly, as the result of a heart attack, in Zephyrhills, Florida, on Tuesday, November 7, 2000. age 68 years. Mel was a resident of Conestogo Lake and formerly lived in Waterloo. Dear husband of Marlene Eisenmenger: loving father to Brad Eisenmenger and his wife Lisa of Bamberg and Jodi and her husband Brian McMahon of Arthur. He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jasmine, Christopher and Nicole. Brother of Russel Eisenmenger and his wife Gladys, Francis Eisenmenger and his wife Marilyn of Kitchener, Helen and her husband Kenneth Schnarr of Brantford, Gladys and her husband Wes Beacom of Linwood and Rita and her husband Laverne McIntosh of Drayton. Predeceased by his parents, Margaret Biesinger and Anthony Eisenmenger. He was retired from Labatt's Breweries, where he had worked for 45 years. Mel's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. Sunday. Prayers will he said at the funeral home on Monday, November 20, 2000 at 9: 30 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at St. Clements RC Church, in St. Clements at 10: 30 a.m.. with Rev. Arthur Busch officiating. Interment to follow in St. Clements RC Cemetery. The parish prayer service will be held at the funeral home, on Sunday at 8: 30 p.m.

Predeceased by a daughter, Vicky Schultz, Oct. 23. 2003; by one brother, Mel Eisenmenger. 2000 and by one grandson, Anthony. A private family service will be held on Saturday, May 8th, 2004, at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home. 1172 Henry St., in Wellesley. Father Peter Tuyen Nygen will officiate. Burial will be in St. Clement RC Cemetery.
