    MRS. JOHN B. JANTZI

    Mrs. John B. Jantzi, 85, died Wednesday. February 26, at her home in Wellesley.

    She and her husband, who Survives were married 64 years. They were wed Nov. 2. 1893, in Wilmot Township.

    Born in Wilmot May 31, 1872, she was a daughter of the late George Bast and his wife, the former Leah Wilhelm. She was a member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, third line of Wellesley Township.

    Surviving, besides her husband, arc two sons, Ezra of RR 2, Wellesley, and Aaron Of Wellesley; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph J. (Violet Gerber of the fifth line of Wellesley; two brothers, Moses of Wellesley and Rudolph of Crosshill; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Brunk of Wellesley, Mrs. Catherine Roth and Mrs. Lydia Miller, both of Baden; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The body rested at the residence where a short funeral was conducted Sunday at 1 p. m.. followed by a memorial service at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church at 1:30 p.m. Bishop Samuel Roth officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

    Aaron B. Jantzi, 73 of Wellesley was found dead in his car at his home Sunday morning, Feb. 23, apparently a victim of carbon monoxide poisoning.

    Born Jan 11, 1896 in Wellesley Township, Mr. Jantzi was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B. Jantzi. He was a member of Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church, Wellesley.

    Mr. Jantzi farmed in Wellesley Township until his retirement in 1950.

    He is survived by his wife, the former Leah Boshart, whom he married Feb. 16, 1922 in Wellesley Township; a daughter, Mrs. Marcus (Marion) Bender of R.R. 2, Wellesley; a brother, Ezra of Wellesley; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Violet) Gerber of Millbank, and four grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by one infant son.

    The body was at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, where a family service was conducted at 1: 30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by service at 2 p.m. at Cedar Grove Church. Bishop Samuel Roth officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

    Wellesley Man Dies Of Monoxide

    Aaron B. Jantzi, 73, Wellesley, was found dead in his car Sunday.

    Coroner Dr. James Christ of Kitchener was called to the scene and said that death was caused by monoxide poisoning. The car was apparently in the Jantzi garage at the time. There will be no inquest held,

    Mr. Jantzi was born in Wellesley Township, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John B Jantzi. He farmed there for many years, retiring in 1950.

    He was a member of Cedar Grave Amish Mennonite Church, Wellesley.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Leah Boshart; a daughter, Mrs Marcus (Marion) Bender, RR 2, Wellesley; a brother, Ezra, Wellesley; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Violet) Gerber, Millbank; four grandchildren.

    The body is at the Futher Brothers funeral home, Wellesley, where a family service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m A memorial service will be held at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    He had farmed at RR 2, Wellesley, retiring in 1988; was a member of the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church.

    Beloved husband of the former Fannie Erb of Wellesley; dear father of Annie (Mrs. Alvin Erb) of RR 1, Gadshill and Erma (Mrs. Russell Kuntz) of RR 1, Brunner, Elmer and his wife Joan Jantzi of Wellesley. Lovingly remembered by a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Jantzi of Kitchener; by 11, grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren.

    Was predeceased by one son, Allan, October 20, 1979; also by one brother, Aaron and one sister, Violet Gerber.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive their friends Wednesday from 1-4 .and 7-9 p.m. Family service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, May 12 at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church at 2 p.m., Bishop Arthur Gerber will officiate.

    Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials to the VON or the Ca-nadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.

She enjoyed cooking, embroidery, market gardening and selling her produce at the markets in Kitchener and Waterloo.     Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Stratford General Hospital, in her 91st year. Loving mother of Donald (Nelda) Erb and Dianne (Otto) Noeske. Grandmother of Nathan, Jeremy (Janice), Chrissy Erb, Jenny (Brad) Brenneman, Eric (Kaitlyn) Noeske and Mark Noeske (Katie Stewart). Great-grandmother of Hayley, Ethan, and Molly Brenneman, Adelyn Noeske, Ivy Erb and Caxton Stewart-Noeske. Dear sister of Erma Kuntze. Surviving are her sisters and brothers-in law; Eleanor Jantzi, Barb Jantzi, Milton Erb, Harold and Violet May Erb, Norm and Wilma Kuepfer. Annie was predeceased by her husband Alvin (1996), her parents Ezra Jantzi and Fannie Erb, brothers; Allen and Elmer Jantzi, brothers and sisters-in law; Russell Kuntze, Leona and Earl Paddington, Milton and Eva Kuepfer and Marjorie Erb. Annie enjoyed gardening, quilting and lived in Hampstead for over 50 years before moving to Country Meadows.     Survived by his wife Eleanor and three daughters, Linda (Mrs. Joseph Bauman) of Plattsville, Brenda (Mrs. William Fisher) of Route 4, Paisley, and Sandra Jantzi of Ottawa; dear brother of Elmer of Poole and Erma (Mrs. Russell Kuntze) of Route 1 Brunner, and Annie (Mrs. Alvin Erb) of Route 1, Gads Hill; also survived by six grandchildren.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, where private family service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 24. Interment to follow in Rush's cemetery, Wellesley Township. Erma was born 90 years ago, August 30, 1927, in Wellesley Township and was the daughter of the late Ezra B and Fannie E Jantzi (Erb). Erma is reunited with her husband the late Russell Kuntze. Beloved mother to; John William (Elsie May), Helen (Jamie) MacAlpine, Howard Russel (Tilly) and Murray Jacob (Lisa). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Russell, Rob (Cecile), Amy (Marc) Chartrand, Scott (Sarah), Becky (Jeff) Jantzi, Ryan (Mandy), Jonathon "Barney" (Adrienne), Alicia (Anand) and Kate (Kyle). Dearly missed by her great-grandchildren; Thibault MacAlpine, James Chartrand, Sophie, Sadie, Seth MacAlpine, Briony, Linden, Owen Jantzi, Ethan, Ainsley LeBlanc, James, Arran Kuntze, McKenna, Gabrielle and Violet Kuntze. Survived by her sisters-in-law; Barb Jantzi, Joan Jantzi, Muriel Kuntze, Joyce Kuntze and Mary Gropp. Predeceased by her brothers; Al (Eleanor) and Elmer, sister; Annie (Alvin) Erb, brothers-in-law; Cecil (Pansy), Neil, Ivan (Mary), Albert and Harold Gropp as well as by her father and mother-in-law Jacob and Ella Kuntze (Roth). Erma spent her time quilting and, in the garden, gardening. Family was very important to Erma, cooking wonderful meals for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private family service will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, Milverton. Interment in the Kingwood Reformed Mennonite Cemetery.
