    Mrs. Julia Kudoba

    A resident of Kitchener for more than 50 years, Mrs. Julia Kudoba, 73, of 100 Borden Ave. North, died today at the K-W Hospital after a brief illness.

    Mrs. Kudoba was born Aug. 21, 1885, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Duench of Wellesley. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Her husband, August Kudoba, whom she married in Kitchener in 1906, died March 26, 1953.

    Surviving are three daughters, Miss Florence Kudoba of Kitchener, Mrs. K. B. (Margaret) McTavish of Toronto, Mrs. K. A. (Marie) Stuebing of Winnipeg, and five grandchiIdren. Four brothers and one sister predeceased her.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, until Friday at .11 .a.m. when removal will be made to Holy Cross Church where the funeral will he conducted at 2 p.m. by Rev. Lloyd Wentzlaff.

    KUDOBA, Florence Peacefully, on Friday, June 9, 2000, at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, in her 93rd year.

    Beloved sister of Marg McTavish of Kitchener and Marie Stuebing and her husband Ken of Winnipeg, Man.; dear aunt of John McTavish and his wife Marion of Huntsville, Julie Wetzler and her husband Joe of Waterloo, Bill Stuebing and his wife Linda of Red Deer, Alta., Bob Stuebing and his wife Eileen of Toronto and Jane Stuebing of Winnipeg, Man. Aunt Florence will be sadly missed by her many great-nieces and great-nephews.

    Florence graduated from nursing at the Stratford Hospital in 1930. She was the Supervisor of Nurses for the Memorial Hospital in St. Thomas and the Industrial Nurse for Electrohome for many years. Until her retirement in 1973, she was the Director of Public Health Nursing for the Region of Waterloo. Florence was a very active and devoted member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

    Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, June 28,2000 at 1 p.m. Interment of cremated remains in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery following the service, Rev. John McTavish officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kitchener Special Olympics S.O. Soccer or Epilepsy Ontario Waterloo-Wellington Chapter by contacting the funeral home at 745-8445.

Dear sister of Marie Stuebing and her husband Ken. Cremation has taken place.     Miss Kudoba Bride Of Mr. K. B. McTavish A wedding of interest in this city took place at the Avenue Road Presbyterian church, Toronto, at
    four o'clock this afternoon when Miss Marguerite L. Kudoba, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Kudoba, Samuel street, became the bride of
    Mr. Kenneth B. McTavish of Sudbury, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. McTavish of Toronto.


    Palms, peonies and orange blossoms graced the church for the love- ly late spring ceremony which was performed by Rev. A. R. Skinner. pastor of the church.

    The bridal party entered the church to the strains of bridal muste played by Miss E. McTavish, aunt of the bridegroom.

    The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of mousseline de soi trimmed with rows of fine lace forming a tight bodice. The skirt was bordered with lace forming a short train and the costume was completed with a shoulder-length veil. She carried o Colonial bouquet of white roses and lily of the valley.

    She was attended by her sister. Miss Florence Kudoba, gowhed in Marina blue embroidered lace over taffeta with halo hat and carrying a
    Colonial bouquet of yellow roses. Mr Stuart Ferguson of Sudbury was the best man and the ushers were Messrs. Norman Dotzenroth and Kenneth Stuebing of Kitchener.

    Following the ceremony a wed ding reception was arranged at the Alexandra Palace, Toronto. Only the immediate relatives of the young people were present. The bride and bridegroom were assisted in receiv ing by the bride's mother, wearing hyacinth blue chiffon with corsage of Talisman roses and corn flowers. and by the bridegroom's mother. wearing a blue lace gown with corsage of Sweetheart roses and baby's breath.

    Following the reception the bride and bridegroom left on a wedding- trip by motor, the bride wearing for travelling a cream serge suit with rolled turban and Chartreuse accessories.

    Upon their return they will take up residence in Sudbury.
