    A tailor for Dowlers, Ltd., in Kitchener for 20 years, Henry Dietz, 72, of 217 Lancaster St. East, died last night at his home after a lengthy illness Mr. Dietz was born Aug. 26, 1880 at Wellesley, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Dietz. His wife, the former Catherine Woelfle of Tavistock whom he married April 27, 1910, survives. He was a tailor in Tavistock for 16 years. In Kitchener, he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the church men's club. Surviving in addition to his wife, are two sons, Martin of Hamilton and Harry of Kitchener, [bottom of obituary was not photocopied]

    DIETZ, William John - On Saturday, May 15, 1982, at his home, William John Dietz Sr., of Nithview Home, New Hamburg, formerly of Wellesley. Mr. Dietz was born in Wellesley, 84 years ago; son of the late George Dietz and the late Anna Quehl. William was a member of St. Paul's First Lutheran Church, where he served on church council for many years and was also a former member of the Lutheran Layman's League, he was a charter and life member of the Wellesley District Board of Trade, was also a former member of the village council and was a former schoolboard trustee, he was a tin smith by trade and was employed at Zettel's Hardware for 55 years, retiring in 1965. Beloved father of Robert and William Jr., both of Wellesley and Elizabeth (Mrs. Hary (sic) Berlet)and Ruth (Mrs. Murray Leitch), both of Kitchener and Harry (Mrs. William G. Cook) of RR 1, Gadshill. Lovingly remembered by 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Dorothy Margaret Schmidt, October 27, 1972 and also by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service was held at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Doug Priestao officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Futher Bros. funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

    WELLESLEY\emdash George John Dietz of Wellesley died Friday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 67.

    Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Dietz, he was born May 18, 1901 at Wellesley. He had been a tinsmith at Zettel's hardware for 50 years.
    Mr. Dietz was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the Lutheran Laymen's League.

    He was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine Heimpel, two brothers and two sisters.

    Surviving are his second wife, Lauchena Blue whom he married July 6, 1966; a son, William J. Dietz of Wellesley, and a daughter, Mrs. George (Anna) Daer of Clinton.

    The body will be at the Futher Funeral Home until noon Monday when removal will be made to St. Paul's Church for service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Irwin Pudrycki will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Bill was born in Wellesley 68 years ago, son of the late William J. Dietz and the late Dorothy M. Schmidt. Bill was a life-long member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley, where he was the chairman of the church council. He was also a member of the Wellesley and District Board of Trade. Throughout his life, he was active with softball, ringette and the Wellesley Apple Jacks Jr. Hockey Team. He also served on the Community Centre Board, and was one of the founding members of the Apple Butter and Cheese Festival. Bill enjoyed dancing to the music of the Royal Aires. Mr. Dietz was the owner of William G. Dietz Insurance for the past 35 years.

    Cherished husband of Dianne (Seyler) Dietz of Wellesley. Loving father of Jeffrey and his wife Stephanie Dietz of Waterloo, Christopher Dietz of Wellesley and Catherine Dietz of Wellesley. Dear brother of Elizabeth (Betty) and her husband Harry Berlet of Kitchener, Mary Cook and her late husband William G. of Wellesley and Robert Dietz and his wife Maralyn of Wellesley. Brother-in-law of Geraldine and Bert Hurren, Robert and Sandy Seyler, Raymond and Susan Seyler, Gerald and Connie Seyler, Donald Seyler and Murray Leitch. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Predeceased by a sister, Ruth Leitch; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edgar and Catherine Seyler, and by nephews, Charles Berlet and Peter Cook.

    Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St. in Wellesley, where family and friends will be received today (Thursday) from 7-9 pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted from First St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11 am. Pastor Andy Schroth will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

    Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers. William. David. Paul and Mark, all at home, two sisters Barbara and Margaret, both at home; paternal grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. William Cook Sr. of RR 1, Gadshill and his maternal grandparents.
