    Daniel B. Weber," was born June 9th, 1863. He was married to Mary Ann, daughter of Elias Martin, December 27th, 1887. They reside on the old "Weber Homestead" about one mile south of Conestogo. Their family consists of two children named VII Leander and Elam."

    DANIEL B. WEBER.

    This gentleman is another one of our successful farmers, but he is not by any means inclined to boast of that fact himself, he being of a modest, unassuming disposition, and a man who does not court newspaper notoriety. He was born about thirty-five years ago on the farm he now occupies, lot No. 32 and about one mile south of the village of Conestogo. The farm contains 209 acres and is a very choice body of land. His father, Elias Weber, came here about forty-eight years ago. The latter was born December 9, 1828, and on March 19, 1850, he was joined in marriage to Susanah, daughter of Jacob Bricker. She was born October 22, 1826. The union was blessed with three children. The mother died about a year ago, but the father is still hale and hearty and still lives a retired life at the old homestead, having given the farm over to his son, the subject of this sketch, several years ago. The latter was married to Mary Ann, daughter of Elias Martin, December 27, 1887. They have three children The junior Weber is at present one of the township school trustees, and he would undoubtedly be elected to a higher municipal position were he inclined to come out for election. He has been thoroughly successful as a farmer and annually produces large crops of hay and grain. During the past season he has turned out twenty- six head of very fine export cattle. The general outward appearance of this place indicates good taste and that it is conducted by experienced hands.

    Menno Weber

    Funeral service took place Saturday at the Elmira Mennonite Church for Menno Weber of 7 Snyder Avenue, Elmira. He died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 69.

    He was born September 16, 1902, in Woolwich Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Weber.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Selinda Martin; one brother, Elam, RR1, Elmira, and two sisters, Susannah Weber and Marion Block, both of Elmira. He was predeceased by one brother.

    Rev. Vernon Leis officiated. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Beloved husband of Violet (Snyder) Weber for 63 years. Dear father of MaryAnne and John Brubacher of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Irvon and Minerva Weber of RR 2, Elmira, Elam and Mary Weber of RR 1, Pembroke, Sara and Ananias Martin of RR 1, Gorrie, Malinda Weber, Lena and Ervin Horst, all of RR 1, Newton, David and MaryAnn Weber of RR 1, Harriston. Also survived by 29 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Brother of Minerva and Ion Weber and brother-in-law of Noah Martin and Lucinda Weber. Predeceased by his parents Elam and Veronica (Martin) Weber; one daughter in infancy; two brothers and one sister. Friends called at the home of John Brubacher, RR 1, St. Jacobs on Thursday (yesterday) from 3-6 pm. and may call today (Friday) from 1-5 p.m. then to Conestogo Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.

The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, transfer will be made to the Elmira Mennonite Church for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastors Steven Janzen and Rene Sauder officiating, followed by interment in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee or The Cardiac Fitness Association would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. A special thank you to the Third Floor nurses at Freeport Health Centre and to Dr. E. A. Williamson for the special care and compassion during Muriel's illness.

Surviving are one brother (Trevor), 2 sisters (Sherilee and Cindy Lee), maternal grandmother (Mrs. Marion Block), and paternal grandparents (George and Elizabeth Wideman). He attended Hawkesville Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at Elmira Mennonite Church on Sept. 12, in charge of Gary Knarr and S. David Garber; interment in Hawkesville Community Cemetery.
