    Menno Koch - by Record Correspondent - WEST MONTROSE, March 20. Menno Koch, 80, died last night at his residence, R.R. 1, West Montrose, following a brief illness. A former assessor of Waterloo and Woolwich Townships, he had served in these positions for a total of 25 years. For many years he was a member of the Bloomingdale School Board. Born in Conestogo, he had resided in Waterloo County all his life. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Kitchener. Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Ritter; six sons, Ralph and Wilfred, Waterloo; Fred, Cornwall; Marshall, Fergus; Kenneth, Kitchener, and Harry at home; five daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Alberta) Bouskill, Detroit; Mrs. H.K. (Pearl) Kalbfleisch, London, Ont.; Mrs. H. (Clara) Chislett, Elgin, Ill., Mrs. W. (Alma) Bergmann, and Mrs. William Asmussen both of Kitchener; one brother, Charles Koch, Conestogo; three sisters, Mrs. Leah Musselman, Kitchener; Mrs. George Reist, Rosedale, and Mrs. Titus Hallman, Rochester, N.Y.; 37 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2: 30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. John Schmieder of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

    KOCH, Ralph E. -- At St. Mary's Hospital, on Monday, Jan. 13, 1975, after a brief illness Ralph Edwin Koch, of 128 King St. N., Waterloo, age 79 years. Mr. Koch was born in Conestoga; a son of the late Menno Koch and the former Anna Ritter. Mr. Koch was a resident of the Twin City area all his life; he farmed near Winterbourne, operated a well drilling company and founded and operated Koch Milling Company located on Queen St. S. in Kitchener until it was sold and is now known as the Kissner Milling Company.

    He was predeceased by his wife the former Eleanor Snyder in 1961; by two sisters, Mrs. Alberta Donnely and Erma Koch; surviving are four daughters, Mildred (Mrs. Howard Snyder), Shirley (Mrs. Roy Weber), both of Kitchener, Muriel (Mrs. Eric Misch) and Dorothy, Mrs. Robert Ruggle), both of Waterloo;

    four sisters, Pearl (Mrs H.K. Kalbfleisch) of London, Ont., Clara (Mrs. Frank Moralt) of Elgin Ill, Mrs. Alma Bergman and Edna (Mrs. William Asmussen), both of Kitchener; by five brothers Wilfred of Waterloo, Fred of Hamilton, Marshal of Wasaga Beach, Kenneth of Kincardine and Hary of California; five grandchildren also survive, Elizabeth Snyder, Mrs. Susan Callan, Philip and Mark Weber, and Robbie Ruggie.

    ASMUSSEN, Edna (nee Koch) - Passed away at Leisure World in Elmira on Sunday, December 30, 2007 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late William Asmussen; loving mother of Len (Lois) and Del (Jean); cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Edna will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law, Helen. Predeceased by her son, Robert, and grandson, Paul. Edna was the last surviving member of her family. Edna's family will receive friends and relatives at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa Street South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener on Thursday, January 3 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11 am. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

Mildred will also be sadly missed by her sisters Muriel Misch and Dorothy and husband Robert W. Ruggle. Also missed by nephews Philip Weber, Mark (Miriam) Weber and by Robert E. (Lee-Anne) Ruggle. Mildred will be missed by her extended Snyder family. Predeceased by her parents Eleanor and Ralph Koch. Also predeceased by her sister Shirley and her husband Roy Weber and brother-in-law Eric Misch. Mildred was a graduate of Emmanuel Bible College and a life long member of Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church. Family and friends will be received at Robert Ruggle Funeral Home , 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service celebrating Mildred's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. Reception will follow.
