    After years of suffering, patiently endured, the wife of Mr. Dan. S. Snider, who lives about 3 ½ miles south-east of Elmira, passed away on Monday. She was a daughter of the late David Reist and was highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss a sorrowing husband and seven children, five sons and two daughters. Several children predeceased her. Her remains were interred in the Mennonite Cemetery at Bloomingdale yesterday (Wednesday) forenoon. The funeral was largely attended.

    missing] to be reported is that of Mrs. Justus Schaefer, who died of typhoid fever early this morning leaving, to mourn her early death, her sorrowing husband and seven children, the youngest only fifteen months old. The funeral will be held on Saturday morning at 9: 30 o'clock to Elmira for burial and service. The sympathy of the community goes out in particularly large measure to the bereaved in both the above cases.

    In Memoriam Died: In Woolwich Township on Thursday, the 6th day of January 1910 Mary Ann Snyder beloved wife of Justus Schaefer Aged 47 years, 7 months and 14 days. The Funeral Will be held from her late residence on Saturday morning, January 8th, at 9.30 o'clock to the Elmira Cemetery. Service in St. James Lutheran Church after interment.     Levi Snyder - by Record Correspondent - ELMIRA, Jan 7. - The death occurred at his home near Elmira on Saturday evening last of Levi Snyder, after a short illness. Mr. Snyder, who was a native of Woolwich Township, was born 78 years ago. He was married to his wife, Lydia Fries, who survives him in 1900. Four sons, Arthur, Irvin, and Wesley of this district, and Daniel of Kitchener; and six daughters, Mrs. Walter Lorch and Mrs. Herbert Cress of Elmira, Mrs. Wilbert Be??el of this district, and Mrs. Elmer Kutt. Mrs. Floyd Bristow and Mrs. Arthur Martin, all of Kitchener, are surviving children. One daughter died in 1939. In addition two brothers, Edward of Elmira, and Oscar of Kitchener, and 16 grandchildren, also survive. The funeral will be held from the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel to St. James' Lutheran Cemetery, on Tuesday afternoon at 3: 30 o'clock. Rev. L. H. Kalbfleisch will officiate. The body is resting at the chapel.

    Snyder, -- Edward, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Snyder, was born in Waterloo County, Ont., on Dec. 27, 1873; departed this life at his home in Elmira, Ont., on Feb. 8, 1955; aged 81 y. 1 m. 11 d. On May 22, 1907, he was united in marriage to Melinda Brubacher, who preceded him in death in 1939. He is survived by 3 children (Walter and Addison of Elmira, and Pearl--Mrs. Wilfred Meyer, of Waterloo), also 8 grandchildren, and one brother (Oscar, Waterloo). He was a member of the Elmira Mennonite Church. Funeral services were conducted in the funeral chapel at Elmira on Feb. 10, with Oliver D. Snider in charge. Interment was made in Snyder's church cemetery, Bloomingdale, Ont.

He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira. He was unmarried. Surviving are four brothers, Oscar, Cranson and Oliver, all of Elmira, Walter of Kitchener; two sisters, Minerva of Elmira, Mrs. Val (Vera) Schoepp of Kitchener. The body was at Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where the funeral was conducted Friday by Rev. H.W. Baetz. Burial was in St. James' Lutheran Cemetery.

    Passed away at his home in Waterloo, on December 26, 2009. Predeceased by his father Daniel, mother Mildred and sister Joan Lorentz, all of Waterloo. Ken will lovingly be remembered by his children, son Gary Snyder (Chris) of Simcoe and daughter Lynda Coughlan (Mark) of Kitchener.     For everything there is a season, a time to live and a time to die \endash Ecclesiastes 3;2. Bob passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels, Ontario on April 17, 2022 in his 94th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend, Audrey nee Voelzing following 57 years of marriage on 30 July 2010. He is the cherished father of Karen and Geoff Sutherland of London, Jim and Sheila Ritter of Belleville and David and Michele Ritter of North Bay. Also survived by his adored grandchildren Leah (David) Stipsits, Scott and Nathan Sutherland, Heather Ritter (Colin Hall) and Paul Ritter, and Michael and Mark Ritter (Sarah Lounsbury).

    Born in St. Jacobs, he attended St. Jacobs Public School and Kitchener Collegiate Institute. He furthered his education at the former Waterloo College UWO followed by secondary school teacher training at University of Toronto. While in university he served in the Canadian Officers Training Corps earning a Queen's commission as a 2Lt. In 1952 he was posted for a NATO mission to Hannover, West Germany with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, 1st Cdn Rifle Battalion, 27th Cdn Infantry Brigade, British Army on the Rhine. After completing this posting, he accepted a teaching position at the former Wingham District High School where he taught for 31 years as a teacher, vice principal, retiring as principal of the F.E. Madill Secondary School in 1984. Bob was very active in local army militia where he spent 17 years with the 21st Field Artillery Regiment RCA retiring as the Commanding Officer in 1970. He was also active in community affairs and a long-time member of St Paul's-Trinity Anglican Church. He served as a chairman of the Wingham General Hospital as well as the chair of the Wingham Hospital Foundation during its formative years. Being interested in library affairs he served on the Huron County Library Board as well as the Midwestern Regional Library Board in Kitchener.

    Predeceased by his parents, Gordon Philip and Edna Maria (Steiner) Ritter, his sister and brother-in-law Rev. Arthur and Genowefy Conrad and his brother-in-law Malcolm Voelzing.

    At Bob's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will follow with burial alongside his late wife, Audrey at the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in St. Jacobs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

    Thank you for the very special care of Bob by Dr. Uniac, Rev. J. Todd, the nurses, PSW's and staff at Huronlea during covid and especially during his final days.

    Let it be said, "He fought the good fight, he followed his course, he kept the faith", St Timothy.
