    Obituary for William Bruce Easton

at the Welland County General Hospital on Wednesday October 2, 2002. Wm. Bruce Easton of Welland in his 85th year. Bruce will be missed dearly by his beloved wife of sixty years, Moreen, his two devoted sons, Robert (Joanne) and David (Bev), and his adoring grandchildren, Mark, Andrea, Lora and Joshua, all of Welland. Bruce was born in Toronto, moved to Kitchener-Waterloo at age 2, where he met Moreen, settling in Welland following his tour of duty as a Flight Sergeant with the R.C.A.F. during World War ll from 1941 to 1945. Bruce was an insurance adjuster throughout Niagara, carrying on business as Easton-Crowther and Eastbrock Adjusters. Predeceased by his parents Oscar and Edna, his sister Doris, his parents-in-law Edward and Abigail and his brother-in-law Homer Opperthauser. A private family service and cremation will take place. There will be no visitation at Bruce's request. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations of blood, the signing of organ donor cards and/or donations to your favourite charity. Bruce was very instrumental with the establishment of Pauline McGibbon School through the Welland Kinsmen Club, was past-president of the Kinsmen 1953-54 and a long time member of the Niagara District Cribbage League. Cards for donations are available through the James L. Pedlar Funeral Home, Fonthill.
