    Another Woolwich farmer passed away at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Josiah Weber, Peel Township, on Monday. We refer to Benjamin Lichty, who was born in 1844, a son of the late George Lichty, in the Jerusalem section. Deceased was married to Esther Wenger, who died nine years ago. He lived on a farm near where he was born until a little over a year ago, when he went to live with his daughter in peel. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Lichty, one of whom Daniel, died. The living are: - Henry in Elmira; Mary Ann, (Mrs. Josiah Weber; Sarah, (Mrs. John Steiner), Drake, Sask.; George, Canfield, Ont.; Susannah (Mrs. Ephrain Snyder), Red Deer, Alta.; Benjamin, Drake, Sask.; Irvine, near Berlin. The funeral will be held next Sunday afternoon, at one o'clock, from the house in which he died to the Mennonite Cemetery at the Conestogo.

    Steiner. Sarah Jane Lichty Steiner, daughter of Brother and Sister Benjamin Lichty, of Waterloo Co., Ont., was born July 3, 1870; died May 19, 1932; aged 61 y. 10 m. 16d. She was married to J. P. Steiner on May 16, 1898. Soon after their marriage she was converted and became a member of the Mennonite Church at St. James, Ont. In the spring of 1905 she moved with her husband to the present homestead near Drake, Sask. Soon after the Sharon Mennonite Church was organized she became a member and lived a consistent Christian life until death, which was caused by a weak heart and dropsy. She was a kind, loving, generous, and sympathetic wife and mother. She leaves to mourn her loss a sorrowing husband and 1 son, the only child. Funeral services were held May 22 at the home by Edwin Bartel, and at the Sharon Mennonite Church, by J. Lehman and M. H. Schmitt. Text, Rev. 14: 13. She was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

    BRESLAU - Word has been received by relatives in the district of the death of Mrs. Ephraim Snyder, 65, which occurred Feb. 12 at Bellingham, Wash.

    Born Susanna Lichty, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lichty, Conestogo. and lived there and in Elmira until about 35 years ago. She has resided in Bellingham for the past 25 years and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

    Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Reuben Hellas and Mrs. Howard Anderson, both of Bellingham, and two brothers, Irvin Lichty of Breslau and George Lichty of Elmira. There are two grandchildren, as well as many relatives in Waterloo County.

On April 16, 1911, at Guernsey, Sask., he was united in holy marriage to Sarah Ann Reist, and resided for the next 3 years at Drake, Sask. Coming East to Ontario again, they lived for 8 years near Floradale, for the past 14 years residing at German Mills where he was well known as the manufacturer of "Lichty's Famous Products." He leaves his sorrowing widow and 1 daughter (Eva) also 2 brothers (George of Elmira and Irvin of Breslau), and 1 sister (Mrs. Ephraim Snyder of Bellingham, Wash.) He was predeceased by 1 infant daughter (Mary Esther), 2 brothers (Henry of Elmira and Daniel, who passed away at the age of 12), also 2 sisters (Mrs. Josiah Weber of Elmira and Mrs. John Steiner of Drake, Sask.). He was baptized and received into the fellowship of the Mennonite Church as a young man. He was a lover of the Lord and of the deeper Christian life. Services in charge of the pastor, Bro. C. F.     Lichty.- Irvin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lighty, was born in Woolwich Twp., Ont., June 28, 1884; died at the South Waterloo Hospital, after a lengthy illness, Dec. 14, 1970; aged 86 y. 5 m. 16 d. On Jan. 14, 1914, he was married to Hannah Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Gordon, Howard, and Oscar), and one daughter (Verna-Mrs. Lyal Steckly). Funeral services were held at the Breslau Mennonite Church Dec. 17, in charge of Laurence Martin, Rufus Jutzi, and Horace Cressman; interment in the Breslau Church Cemetery.

    Weber, -- Orton, son of the late Josiah and Marion (Lichty) Weber, was born March 9, 1892; passed away at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, Sept. 18, 1952; aged 60 y. 6 m. 9 d. On March 21, 1934, he was united in marriage to Amanda Eby. He united with the Mennonite Church early in life, having his membership first in the Sharon congregation, Guernsey, Sask., and since 1928, with the congregation at Elmira, Ont., of which he was a faithful member. Surviving are his wife, 3 foster children (Margaret, George, and Stuart), 3 sisters (Mrs. Altana Martin, Elmira, Ont.; Pearl-Mrs. Maurice Kinzie, Breslau, Ont.; and Mrs. Ella Detweiller, Floradale, Ont.), and one brother (Nelson, Elmira, Ont.).     ION WEBER Ion Weber, 53, of R.R. 2, Alma, died suddenly at K-W Hospital Monday. He had suffered a stroke Friday.

    Son of the late Josiah Weber and Mary Ann Lichty, he was born in Woolwich Township and resided in the neighboring district all his life. He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church.

    Surviving, in addition to his widow are two daughters, Mrs. Uhrias (Helen) Frey, of R.R. 3, Waterloo, and Beatrice, at home; five sons, Emerson and Lawrence, both of Alma, and George, Donald and Franklin, all at home.

    There are two brothers, Orton and Nelson; and three sisters, Mrs. Morris Kinzie, Mrs. Reuben Detweiler and Mrs. Altana Martin. Also surviving are two grandchildren. One son and one daughter predeceased him.

    The funeral service was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the late residence, R.R. 2. Alma, to Elmira Men-nonite Church for services.

    Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

On March 14, 1917 he was married to Geneva Kinsie, of Breslau, Ont. who survives. Also surviving are 5 sons and 2 daughters (Helen - Mrs. Urias Frey, Waterloo, Ont.; Beatrice, at home; Emerson and Lawrence, Fourteenth Line, Peel Twp.,Ont.; George, Donald and Franklin, at home), 2 brothers and 3 sisters (Orton and Nelson, Mrs. Altana Martin, Mrs, Maurice Kinsie, Mrs. Rueben Dettwiller) and 2 grandchildren. One son (Walter) and one daughter (Isobel) predeceased. He had been enjoying good health; his death, which took place at the KW Hospital, caused by a stroke, was unexpected. Funeral services were held at the Elmira Mennonite Church and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    "Ion and Geneva Weber (nee Kinzie) purchased this 200 acre farm with its large bank barn in 1940, and moved here with their seven children. Ion and Geneva farmed her until Ion's untimely death from a stroke in 1949.....

    After Ion's death, Geneva continued running the farm with the help of her children. Lawrence and Emerson soon bought their own farms at Goldstone and Conc. 14 of Peel. George operated the farm for a few years, followed by Don and his wife Naomi (nee Yantzi). Geneva bought a house in Elmira at this time. Don rented the farm for five years."

    Elmira, Isabel Weber, 13 month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ian Weber, died suddenlty at the home of her parents in Peel township Tuesday. Surviving are her parents, five brothers and two sister.

    The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock from the home to Elmira Mennonite church for service. Burial will be made in Elmira Mennonite Cemetery.
