    MARTIN, Ezra E.

    On Saturday March 18, 1978, at his home in St. Jacobs, age 86 years. Husband of the late Louisa Bauman; father of Mrs. Orlan (Adeline) Martin of Route 1, Elmira, Onias of Wallenstein, Mrs. Elmina Brubacher at home, Milton of Route 2, West Montrose, Mrs. Samuel (Mary-ann) Martin of Elmira, Wayne of Savant Lake, Ont., Lovina at home, Anson of Stratford, Mervin of Route 3, Listowel. Also survived by 42 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Sister (sic) of Mrs. Samuel (Maryann) Horst of Route 1, St. Jacobs and Elias of St. Jacobs. Two sons, five brothers and one sister predeceased him. Friends called at the home in St. Jacobs. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, March 21, with a private service at the home at 1 p.m. Removal was then made to Martin's Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Loving mother of Dorene and Wayne Martin of Wallenstein, Glenn and Elaine Martin, Wray and Dianne Martin, Meryle and Betty Martin all of St. Jacobs, Grace and Clare Bauman of Floradale, Sharon and Leonard Weber, Fern and Merle Martin, Gloria and Howard Bauman all of Elmira. Fondly remembered by her 29 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday morning, July 4, 2007 at 9 a.m. then to the Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for further public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. For those who desire, donations to the Freeport Health Centre or the Elmira and District Association for Community Living would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    MARTIN, Onias B. - On Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at Palmerston and District Hospital, Onias went peacefully home to be with the Lord. Onias B. Martin, in his 83rd year. Beloved and faithful husband of Emma (Gerber) Martin for 43 years. Loving father of Verden and Carolyn Martin of Drayton, Yvonne and Ayman Al Zanoun of Bahrain. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Jon, Jeff, Matthew and Trevor Martin, Sami and Katherine Al Zanoun. Dear brother of Adeline Martin, Elmina Brubacher, Maryann Martin, Wayne B. and Naomi Martin, Lovina Ruttan, Anson and Sharon Martin, Mervin and Alma Martin. Also survived by sister-in-law Erma Martin and a number of nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, Ezra and Louisa (Bauman) Martin, one grandson Phillip in infancy, three brothers, Abner in infancy, Milton and Leander, two brothers-in-law, Orlan Martin and Jacob Brubacher and sister-in-law Betty Martin. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 12 noon on Wednesday transfer will be made to the Wallenstein Bible Chapel for funeral service at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the Hawkesville Cemetery. In his memory donations to the Palliative Care Unit Palmerston and District Hospital or New Tribes Mission would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The family would especially like to recognize the efforts and facilities of the Palliative Care Unit at Palmerston and District Hospital where Dad's final hours were spent in very competent and attentive care. Special thanks to family and friends for their support and presence over the past few weeks.

He was the beloved husband of Naomi (Shantz) Martin. They shared more than 65 years together. Dad was also known as "Fairway Wayne" or "Savant Wayne". Loving father of Lucille (Leonard Weber) of West Montrose, Myrna (Art Bauman) of Kitchener, Shirley (Wilbur Miller) of Columbus, OH, Gary Martin (Patti Hiltz) of Kitchener, Judy (Fred Martin) of West Montrose, and Janet (Dale Horst) of Waterloo. Dear grandfather of 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Wayne is survived by siblings Lovina Ruttan (Leo, 2005) of Fordwich, Mervin Martin (Alma) of Listowel, and Anson Martin (Sharon) of Stratford.
