    Noah Knarr

    Noah Knarr of the Fairview Mennonite Home, Preston, died on Friday at the South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 88.

    Born Jan. 25, 1881 in Waterloo Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Knarr and had been a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities. He was employed at Canada Barrel and Kegs Ltd., Waterloo, for many years and was a member of the Erb Street Mennonite Church.

    His wife, the former Magdelena Heer, whom he married in 1909 in Waterloo, predeceased him June 13, 1962. Surviving are four sons, Clayton and Lloyd, both of Kitchener; Milford, Waterloo, and Herbert, Niagara Falls, Ont.; one daughter, Mrs. William (Marie) Knarr, Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Marianne Holtzworth, Petersburg; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral Service was held at the Erb Street Mennonite Church, Bishop J.B. Martin and Rev. Milton Schwartzentruber officiating on Monday. Burial was in the Erb Street Mennonite cemetery.

    Knarr.- Noah, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Knarr, was born in Waterloo Twp., Ont., Jan. 25, 1881: died at the Fairview Mennonite Home, Preston, Ont., May 30, 1969; aged 88 y. 4 m. 5 d. In 1909 he was married to Magdelena Herr, who preceded him in death June 13, 1962. Surviving are 4 sons (Clayton, Lloyd, Milford, and Herbert), one daughter (Marie-Mrs. William Knarr*), 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one sister (Mrs. Marianne Holtzworth). He was a member of the Erb Street Mennonite Church, where funeral services were conducted, with J. B. Martin and Milton Schwartzentruber officiating.

    Martin.- Ruby Marie, daughter of Noah and Magdalena Knarr, was born in Waterloo, Ont., July 22, 1922; died in Kitchener, Ont., of a heart attack on Sept. 1, 1984; aged 62 y. On Sept. 2, 1944, she was married to William Martin, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter (Debbie-Mrs. Lavern Strub), and one son (Jeffrey), and 4 brothers (Clayton, Herbert, Milford, and Lloyd). She was a member of the Erb Street Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Sept. 4, 1984, in charge of Wilmer Martin and Gary Knarr; interment in Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery.
