MRS. A. H. ERB

Mrs. A. H. Erb, 88, the former Isabella Scott, 9 Centre St., Elmira, died suddenly Wednesday at the K-W Hospital. She had suffered a broken hip in a fall in her home on April 7. Born on March 11, 1859, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Scott of Galt. In 1883 she married Alonzo H. Erb in Galt, later moving to Elmira where she had since resided. Her husband predeceased her 43 years ago.

She was a life member of Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira. Mrs. Erb was the first president of the Ladies' Aid and also a life member of the W.M.S.

Surviving are two daughters, Edna at home, and. Mrs. Archie (Grace) Baird of Fort Erie; a son, Douglas of Elmira, a sister, Miss Jessie Scott of Winnipeg, and two brothers, Robert and John, both of Winnipeg. Two grandchildren also survive.

The remains rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel Where funeral service was held on Saturday at two p.m. Burial was made in the family plot in Elmira Cemetery. Rev. C. L. Mitchell officiated.

Isabella married Alonzo H. Erb 6 Jun 1883, Galt (Cambridge), Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Alonzo (son of Samuel Lewis Erb and Annie Kay) was born 8 Mar 1857, Waterloo City, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 19 Apr 1904, Elmira, Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Elmira Union Cemetery, Elmira, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. On Monday, August 8, 1977, at the Elmira Nursing Home, aged 92 years, of Elmira.
Dear aunt of Ronald and Douglas Erb. She was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Funeral service was in the chapel on Thursday, August 11 at 2 p.m. Interment followed in the Elmira cemetery.
