Born is West Montrose February 16, 1907, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Hasenpflug. He was a member of St. James' Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs.
Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Caley; two sons, Orvil of RR 2 Petersburg, and Edward of Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs. Wilbert (Esther) Temple, Kitchener and Mrs. Menno D. (Laurel) Martin, Conestogo; one brother, George Hasenpflug, Windsor; four sisters, Mrs. Wesley Shoemaker and Mrs. M. C. Totzke, both of Elmira, Mrs. Hardy Goodwin of Heidelberg, and Mrs. Pearl Poutler, Kitchener; his stepmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hasenpflug, Hamilton, and 19 grandchildren. He is predeceased by one brother, Arnold Hasenpflug.
The body will be at the family residence from Thursday morning until Saturday at noon when removal will be made to St. James' Church for the funeral service at 2: 30 p.m. Burial will be in the St. James' cemetery with Rev. Harold Brill officiating.

Goodwin, Harold Douglas - Passed away peacefully, at his residence, with loved ones by his side, on Monday, April 15, 1996, 72 years of age. Harold retired in 1988 from BF Goodrich and served overseas with the Canadian Army during the Second World War, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 530, Waterloo. He was a former member of the K-W Oldtimers Hockey Association, and an avid fisherman. He was a faithful member of St. Agnes RC Church, Waterloo. Beloved husband and best friend of Theresa for 51 years. Dear father of Gary of Winnipeg, Man., Mona of Waterloo, Faith of Kitchener and Gloria of Kingston. Predeceased by one daughter, Dona, in 1982. At Harold's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held. Went on to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Saturday, August 7, 2004, after a lengthy illness at the age of 77 years. Besides her loving husband, Clayton of 60 years, Irene will be forever remembered by her children, Pat and her husband Ron, Gerald, Roger and his wife Anne, Connie and her husband Reinhold, Dean and his wife Carol as well as her 12 beloved grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Irene is also survived by one sister, Dorothy and her husband Fred. Irene was predeceased by her parents, five brothers and one sister. Irene was a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and most recently Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly. She was employed with J.M. Schneiders, Kitchener for many years.

Fondly remembered by her 20 great-grand- children. Dear sister of Wilfred and Ella Shoemaker of Elmira, Herb and Wilma Shoemaker of Fergus, Milt and Naomi Shoemaker of Elmira, sister-in-law of Lorne and Esther Musselman of Kitchener, and Arnold Meyers of Waterloo. She was predeceased by her parents Wesley and Edith (Hasenpflug) Shoemaker and a grandson-in-law Rob Loney. Elma enjoyed reading to her friends at Chateau Gardens and she loved gardening, knitting and crocheting. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Bethel Mennonite Church, RR1 Elora from 1 - 2 p.m. A family interment service will then take place in the adjoining cemetery followed by a memorial service in the church at 2: 30 p.m. with Pastor Linda Brnjas officiating. Shoemaker, Wilfred B.~ Peacefully passed away into the presence of the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Chateau Gardens, Elmira. Wilfred, age 90 years, formerly of RR 1, Elora, was predeceased by his first wife Hettie (Horst) Shoemaker (1998) and is survived by his second wife Ella (Sittler) Shoemaker. Loving father of Edith and Ernie Martin of Durham, Gerald and Shirley, Harvey and Carolyn all of RR 1, Elora, and Carol and Keith Woods of Brantford. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jonathan (Kelly), Joanna, Annette (Sarah) Martin, Elizabeth and Steven Shoemaker, Jennifer (Matt) Melles, Trevor, Bradley (Krysten), Jeremy (Jessica) Shoemaker, Travis, Chad (Marla) Woods; great-grandchildren Megan, Cohen, Ava, Caleb, Haley, Raya; brothers Herbert (Wilma) and Milton (Naomi). Predeceased by his parents Wesley and Edith (Hasenpflug) Shoemaker, sister Elma (Ervin) Musselman and sister-in-law Agnes. Wifred farmed in Pilkington Township near Elora for many years and was a respected member on municipal council and other committees. He was a charter member of Bethel Mennonite Church, director of Mennonite Aid Union for 30 years and an avid builder of many homes and barns in the community. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. Memorial service to celebrate Wilfred's life will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church, RR 1, Elora, on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 2: 30 p.m. The casket will remain open at the church on Sunday from 1-2: 10 p.m. Interment in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery. In his memory donations to Chateau Gardens Auxiliary or Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Chateau Gardens, Elmira, for the wonderful care given to Dad.

HASENPFLUG, Orvil George On Monday, March 7, 2011 at St. Mary's General Hospital, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Mary (nee: Korell) of 57 years. Loving father of Lynn Perrin and her husband Gord, William Hasenpflug and his wife Debbie, Robert Hasenpflug, Gwen Troutner and her husband Don and Karen Deutscher and her husband Alan. Proud grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grand-children. Sadly missed by sisters Esther Temple and Laurel Martin and her husband Menno and sister-in-law Cathy Hasenpflug. Lovingly remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Edward Hasenpflug. He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church; Mannheim since 1964. Orvil was a Charter member of the Optimist Club in Mannheim and a longtime member in New Dundee. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Hasenpflug was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and had previously served on church council.
Son of Mrs. Frances Sittler of St. Jacobs. Loving husband of Catherine (nee Zehr). Dear father of Ann Bisch and Michael of New Hamburg, Heather Wombwell of Kitchener, Edward (Butch) Hasenpflug and Louise of Milverton. Sadly missed by four precious grandchildren, Katherine Wombwell, Arlen-Jane, Andrea and Zachary Hasenpflug. Brother of Orvil Hasenpflug and Mary of Mannheim, Esther Temple and Herb Glemser of Kitchener, Laurel Martin and Menno of Chepstow. Brother-in-law of Elaine Zehr of Tavistock, Gerda Zehr of New Hamburg and Marlene Zehr of Wiarton. St. Clements, Oct 2 - The death occurred last night at the home of her parents of Alice Margaret Ann Goodwin, RR 1, St. Clements, at the age of three years. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd W. Goodwin, she was born in Wellesley Township July 26. Her mother is the former Hilda Hartung.
In addition to the parents, there is a sister, Joyce, at home, and the grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Hardie Goodwin of St. Clements, and Mrs. Martha Hartung of Heidelberg.
The funeral service will be held Thursday from the home of her parents at two o'clock, with church service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg at 2: 45 pm. Place of burial will be Heidelberg Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Henry Nuhn, pastor of the church, will officiate. The remains are resting at the home.

HASENPFLUG, Robert George 1957 - 2013 After a courageous battle with leukemia, Bob passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, age 55. Beloved son of Mary (nee Korell) and the late Orvil Hasenpflug. Brother of Lynn (Gordon) Perrin, Bill (Debbie) Hasenpflug, Gwen (Don) Troutner and Karen (Alan) Deutscher. Bob will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, great- nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Bob is predeceased by his father Orvil and best friend Larry Eli. Bob graduated from Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School where he played football. Bob then worked for J.M. Schneiders for 35 years and was a longtime member of the Bridgeport Rod and Gun Club. An avid trap and skeet shooting enthusiast, as well as a hunter and fisherman, Bob had a true passion for the outdoors. Bob enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, especially the music at the family "hootenannies". A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held at the Bridgeport Rod and Gun Club, 1229 Beitz Rd., Breslau, on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception at the club. Cremation will have taken place. Thank you to the staff at Grand River Hospital Kitchener-Waterloo site and the Juravinski Hospital for their excellent care of our son, brother, uncle and friend.
