    Mrs. Louisa Sattler

    Mrs. Louisa Sattler, 85, 49 Euclid Ave., Waterloo, died Saturday at her home following a lengthy illness. She had resided in Waterloo 35 years. where she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

    The former Louisa Schaefer, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Schaefer of Erbsville. Her husband, William, predeceased her in 1911.

    Surviving are two sons, Oscar and Edgar of Waterloo; two daughters, Miss Edith Sattler and Mrs. Frederick (Violet) Lenz of Waterloo: a sister, Mrs. Sophia Doering of Erbsville: three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

    The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo. where services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., with Rev. A. L. Conrad in charge. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery

    LINWOOD, Oct. 18.-Mrs. Alvin Dammeier, 53, of R.R. 3, Wallenstein, near Linwood, died suddenly today at her residence, the result of a stroke. Born Aug. 25, 1893, in Heidelberg, she was the daughter of Mrs. Louis Sattler of Waterloo and the late William Sattler. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, and a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of that church.
    In Heidelberg, on March 12, 1919, she married Alvin Dammeier, who survives, in addition to her mother, a son, Earl, at home, two brothers, Oscar and Edgar Sattler, both of Waterloo, and two sisters, Mrs. Frederick Lenz and Miss Edith Sattler, also of Waterloo. One granddaughter also survives.
    Funeral service will be conducted from the home, near Linwood, on Monday at two p.m. followed by service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be made in Linwood (St. Peter's) Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. W. J. Goos, pastor of the church, will officiate. Remains are resting at the Ratz0Bechtel Funeral Home until four p.m. Saturday when removal will be made to the home.

    Funeral service took place Thursday at St. John's Lutheran church, Waterloo, for Oscar Sattler of Kitchener. He died Tuesday at K-W hospital.

    Rev. A. L. Conrad officiated. Burial was in Heidelberg Lutheran cemetery.

    A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sattler, he was born in Heidelberg and lived in the twin cities for the past 50 years. He was retired for the past 20 years.

    He is survived by his wife, the former Viola Schaus and two sisters, Mrs. Frederick (Violet) Lenz and Edith, both of Waterloo. He was predeceased by one sister and one brother.

    Edgar H. Sattler - Edgar Henry Sattler, 64, of 239 Erb St. East, Waterloo, died Sunday at his home after a heart attack. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sattler, he was born April 21, 1897, in Heidelberg. A Waterloo resident for 49 years, he was employed at the Waterloo Bedding Company, Ltd. for more than 30 years until retiring three years ago. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lorraine Lenz, in 1954. He is survived by one son, Carl of Waterloo; one brother, Oscar of Kitchener; two sisters, Mrs. Frederick (Violet) Lenz and Edith Sattler, both of Waterloo; two grandchildren. The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 2 pm by Rev. A.L. Conrad. Burial will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.

    Carl was born in Waterloo and was a longtime businessman who specialized in cars, stereo equipment and started the Mr. Stereo Stores. After retirement he bought and sold used cars which were a lifetime passion.

    Friends are invited to share their memories of Carl with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S.. Waterloo, (today) Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Carl's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, December 29, 2003 at 2 p.m. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.

    Of RR 1, Arthur, died suddenly, on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, as a result of a car accident.

    Neil was born August 14, 1950 and grew up on a farm just outside of Linwood.
    Neil worked for The County of Wellington Waste Management Department.

    He had a love for photography and had captured many precious moments at weddings and other special occasions.

    He also enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.

    He was the beloved son of Helen (of Waterloo) and the late Earl Dammeier.

    Loving father to Roger (of Fergus), Jeff and his fiancee Colleen (of Mississauga) and Sherry and her husband Bill Taylor (of Elmira); cherished "gramps" to Cassidy and Logan Taylor, beloved brother of Joyce and her husband Tony Gerth (of Waterloo) and Bruce and his wife Donna (of Linwood); special uncle to Rob Dammeier and Jen and her husband Sean Mifflin.

    Husband of Janis Dammeier (of Fergus).

    The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, tonight (Thursday) from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

    At 9 a.m. on Saturday transfer will be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 290 Belsyde St. E., in Fergus for funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Peter Lisinski officiating.

    Family committal service at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Linwood, following the church luncheon Saturday afternoon.

    Brad Sattler

    Passed away after a seven year struggle with cancer and diabetes on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 51.

    Brad will be sadly missed by his children, Hayden and Allanah, whom he adored; his devoted mother, Marj Sattler; treasured sisters, Gail (Kevin) Wolfe, Lisa Sattler and Bonnie (Laurie) Dawe. He is lovingly remembered by his caring and supportive aunts and uncles, especially his Aunt Marjorie Lenz as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Predeceased by his father, Carl Sattler in 2003. Like his dad he had a well known passion for cars, especially their shared love for the MG.

    He is also survived by his children's mother, Daphne Hogan.

    Special thanks goes to the staff at Benny's Family Restaurant, where Brad went for his favourite breakfast and was always greeted with a smile. Thank you also to Dr. Bob Stephens and nurse, Cathy, Dr. Jakda and nurse, Martha, Dr. Irwin, Dr. Donna Ward, his Homecare Nurses, especially Heather, Trisha and Jennifer and the Freeport Nurses, especially Rita and Stephanie, as well as his hospice friend, Chuck.

    Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m., the Rev. Paul Hartig officiating. Reception will follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
